  1. Go barge the useless lardy arse remf's out the way and get a pizza down your face chief...
  2. Who won the cricket match anyway?
  3. Yep, eyes are extremely fragile mate and can easily be taken for granted. Back in 2006 the back of my eye was destroyed in an incident overseas, it's now held together with some sort of silicone contraption and laser fusion, the incident resulted in me going blind in my right eye. Then after two years of getting very confused and having memory problems etc, I was diagnosed with having a traumatic brain injury from the same incident, which ultimately ended my career. Silver lining is I get to spend a lot more time with my family. Make sure that you get checked over by an opthamologist as soon as the swelling go's down just to be on the safe side mate
  4. Well I've just had one sent to me from the 'Haliofax'
  5. 20 amp I believe mate
  6. I've just re-bled the brakes (this time with the engine running) and you could be right there mate, it does seem to be sucking air in from somewhere?? Round 10...ding....freakin' ding!
  7. That was the plan but the priority now is to get it mapped and on track, and to be perfectly honest with you mate, I can't be arsed swapping the master cylinders over and trying to run new lines for what could be very little (if any) gain. Far better to get the thing off my driveway and used rather than faff about with jobs that could quite easily drag on until Summer. I'm sick of staring at it and tinkering with it and just want to drive it
  8. any idea if the later actuators required the ignition/battery to be 'ON' when bleeding the brakes rather than 'OFF/battery disconnected' etc?
  9. Here's a recording of my ABS actuator When the engine is ticking over and the brake pedal is pumped it makes this weird squeaking noise and the pedal is really soft, slow to return to its original position and only after 3 pumps or so does the pedal start to feel even somewhere near normal.....then after a few seconds it's soft again however when the engine is switched off (last half of the video clip) the squeak has gone and the pedal seems a tad more solid This is a '95 TT (SWB) manual and so does not have a bleed valve on the actuator so it would appear that the actuator cannot be bled.
  10. I'm working through an ABS issue at the moment and am in the process of checking that there's power going to the actuator. The pedal is soft as hell and there's a 'squeak' coming from the actuator when the brake pedal is pumped (when plugged in, when unplugged and when ABS fuse is removed). I don't know if anybody else has experienced this but I wouldn't want to drive it like this if this is how brake pedal feels when the ABS fuse is pulled. However having said that it might be perfectly ok to drive on track having pulled the fuse, and what I'm experiencing may be a completely un-related issue I was reffering to Tom Lawlor 8-5-1 (UFC fighter)
  11. My understanding is that ABS is next to useless when you have an off and are heading to the wall backwards (Gooseneck at Cadwell is a common one) as the ABS doesn't work ABS is a nice to have safety feature for the road and it's not going to kill you if you don't have it. I'm not sure on stats but a lot of NA zeds and certainly early 'S' bodies didn't have ABS as standard. I'd suggest that you try it with and then try it without, weigh up the pro's and con's in your own mind, factor in lap time differences and number of lockups (if any) and then make the call based on your own experience. and I'm guessing you're not Tom Lawlor 8-5-1
  12. The British population will always need white 'Y' fronts and Christmas wooly jumpers!
  13. For a second there I thought another one was joining Blockbuster, Jessops and HMV
  14. Is it ok for me to hate squirrels though mate? I think they're evil sly little fookers', what's with them hoarding nuts and running up and down trees in the park and stealing food off peoples bird tables....I mean really what is it with that!?! Nasty vicious little blighters every single one of them!!! hedgehogs are ok though.... Oh yeah, I forgot to say earlier, Hi Kurt
  15. Guys come on, we all know that there's only one true 'Z' all others are pretenders to the throne! :clown:
  16. Isn't that one of the out take from the making of the latest Dukes of Hazard movie, I'm pretty sure that's shown at the end?
  17. Not sure about crazy mofo....but certainly a he's a complete C U Next Tuesday!!!
  18. I'd never actually sat down and watched any of these properly until this evening The first I'd heard of them was when I bumped into an old friend on the train ages ago and he told me that he'd been tasked with working on some animation thing with McLaren, I thought I must have got the wrong end of the stick because the company that he works for are more Satcom orientated than animation, but there you go...it takes all sorts I suppose Enjoy guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbJFGPYBD_c *and I think Jenson looks like the shorter brother of Ed China off Wheeler Dealers!!
  19. For bulk buys (body parts/sets of wheels/roll cages etc) he's really good, I think something like £240 for shipping all in. For smaller parts he's pretty good at sending 'birthday presents' aswell
  20. That'll be Dino Bekris, he's a very genuine seller I've had quite a few grands worth of parts off him over the years and he has never once let me down. He even went and picked up some parts that I was searching for direct from Blitz themselves and then shipped them across Top guy and top kit
  21. No it's not yours mate, this is a red one that was posted up on here a few months back (looks like hazard tape on the rear wheel lip) I think it's a 'J' reg?? Looks tidy enough though
  22. There's a TT SWB on Driftworks at the moment for £3500
  23. How about go for an NA in the meantime and do something different from the norm further down the line....maybe supercharge it or something!
  24. At 20 I would have thought that an NA would be the most affordable option insurance and running costs wise, though I could be wrong of course
