AVC-R boost problem
Similar issue on here: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=avcr%20won't%20boost%20more%20than%200.9%20bar&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CD4QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lancerregister.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D118777&ei=incsUaqkO6Wm0QXnsID4DQ&usg=AFQjCNEGSoMzmHFFnlXlIV_1zRgjdCST7g&bvm=bv.42965579,d.d2k Post #10 is what I was trying to get at Say there is a new Forge actuator fitted depending on spring but with the ACVR off this sohould boost more than 1 bar ?, is he arm length set correct on the actuator ?. The boost spike the AVCR makes before drop off is this what you have set in ie: through start duty or something the unit is over boosting on it's own ?, as this might be a control unit issue and not the solenoid at fault.

Instinct says that's your problem not EBC

AVC-R boost problem
I haven't got a clue mate sorry Could it be an actuator issue rather than a problem with the EBC?

F1 racing flywheel lightweight - nssan 300zx twin turbo
Not sure on the flywheel but the F1 Racing clutches have had some 'mixed' reviews http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=300zx%20f1%20racing%20flywheel%20review&source=web&cd=10&cad=rja&ved=0CH0QFjAJ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sr20-forum.com%2Fproduct-reviews%2F46987-f1-racing-clutches-do-not-buy.html&ei=grwrUYSxAqG60QXisoHYDQ&usg=AFQjCNHyAqcg7cdFJktb90kphxhfLIidKA

Is anybody else having problems logging onto the Photobucket website? I think they are upgrading the site but not until March, so God knows what's up with it now :hammer: *and I only found out last night that you're limited to 2500 pics per album which was useful!

Rear tyres rubbing arch when going over bumps, New shocks and springs installed!!
Have you considered just replacing the wheels for a set with a more forgiving offset?
-
Good looking tyres can kill
Quite possible, so therefore the tyre damage could have occured after the MoT tester had put it through the MoT. Obviously we're not aware of the other problems with this particular car but it may be the case that the MoT tester was right to pass it at time of testing as the problem hadn't yet occured Out of interest what other problems were identified that would warrant an MoT fail

really trying to find some info
Put a pic up and work your way back gradually through its history. Starting point: Who did you buy it off?

suicide doors
I don't get it, what's the joke? All I see is a wide arch SWB zed with 84k on the clock for less than £2500. It's not to my taste but nothing that couldn't be rectified in an afternoon

Ebay Headaches
I had this recently with some numpty asking about a piece of spare kit I had listed on ebay. I'd put a picture up clearly showing the item and gave a very basic description of what it was. Anyway a guy asked if he could 'Buy it now' as he desperately needed it for something or other that weekend, so we agreed a price (about 1/3 of RRP) and I posted it out that same day on next day delivery. Then about a 5 days later he got back in touch complaining that it was the wrong colour and was actually tan rather than olive drab. No doubt he'd used it that weekend to go airsoft'ing with his mates and then decided that his fat ass' wasn't suited to crawling around on his belt buckle so therefore was entitled to a refund. My ebay ad simply stated: BRAND NEW WARRIOR ASSAULT SYSTEMS MOLLE VEST I just let the picture do the talking as it is what it is... On the very rare ocassion that somebody's not happy with what they'd bought or if it is a genuine mistake then I'll happily refund and depending on the item, will generally let them keep it anyway rather than post it back. But this chump was clearly just trying it on. He'd asked if the listing could be ended early and sent payment by paypal (outside of ebay) so I left it at that. No doubt ebay/Paypal would have had no problems taking the money out of my account and leaving him with the item if the transaction had gone through the usual ebay channels Ref the brake light in the first post mate, there's no mistaking what it is and what colour the car was

Rear tyres rubbing arch when going over bumps, New shocks and springs installed!!
Looking at the pics mate I'd say that an arch roll with a very minor flare would solve your rubbing issue

Rear tyres rubbing arch when going over bumps, New shocks and springs installed!!
I binned them

I knew what you meant mate

Rear tyres rubbing arch when going over bumps, New shocks and springs installed!!
Rolling the arches with an arch rolling tool is a really simple fix and doesn't take long, flaring the arches requires a little more finesse' however and quite a bit of patience (I lack both!)

Rear tyres rubbing arch when going over bumps, New shocks and springs installed!!
Dam that's a brave bit of stretch there mate

Would rolling the inner arches help? I can't see 265's on a 10J being an issue, I would consider that to be about normal to be honest mate

Just my luck!
That's a valid point Cut and paste: Most Ferrari owners will agree that maintaining a Ferrari can be one expensive task. One key item to consider is that the older the Ferrari model, the more expensive, the more it is to maintain. A typical oil change on a Ferrari F430 will run you $500, and about $800 for a Ferrari F360 Modena, or $1100 for a Ferrari F355. This typical oil change needs to occur every 5000 miles or once a year, since most owners don’t drive their cars 5000 miles a year. Other typical maintenance items include spark plugs at an average of $3000, belts every 15000 miles at an average of $4000 and finally the mother of all maintenance repairs the clutch which will be about $2500 for a 6 speed transmission and $6500 for the F-1 clutch. That makes the Ferrari one expensive machine to own but remember many owners will tell you that you shouldn’t own one if cost of ownership is something you must think of. $2500-$6000 for a Ferarri clutch compared to sub £100 for a basic MR2 clutch and not to mention $3000 for spark plugs and $4000 for belts......I think I'd give the mechanic a belt if he tried to charge me four grand for a job like that!!!

Dealer/warranty issuses
In my experience these waranties aren't worth the paper they're written on to be honest We bought a VW Touran from a car sales place in Ross on Wye a few months back (we paid for an all singin all dancing 3 year premium gold warranty cover) and after only a few weeks the warning light came up on the dash. We took it to a VW dealership, it turns out that the timing chain had stretched causing the cam sensor to trigger...long story short it was going to cost best part of £2000. We spoke to the warrenty place and they weren't interested and then informed us that if we drove the car and the engine blew up then they would not be liable. They then told us to drive to one of their registered garages? After a bit of probing we established that if we hadn't informed them of the timing chain issue and the engine had blewn up they still wouldn't be liable?? Their garage would have to strip the engine down to determine the cause (we would be liable for the entire cost of this 'inspection') they would then send their technician down to examine the suspected cause and make a decision as to whether they were liable or not! We then phoned the car sales place and in no uncertain terms asked him WTF!!!! and all credit to the guy he asked us to return the car to him and he'd get a local garage in Ross on Wye to carry out the timing chain replacement and a few other minor bits picked up by the VM dealership, he informed us that he would deal with the warranty company and that if they denied liability that he would cover the cost. We then had a courtasy car for the next 4-5 days and all was good, we collected the car en route to Bristol airport (during the floods), shat-nav took us to the wrong long stay carpark and just as we were about to leave....CLUNK!!! battery warning light....stop the car quick!! A quick inspection showed that one of the pulleys had completely fallen off the engine with a guilty looking nut sat next to it and an alternator belt flopped over clearly not where it should be. Quick push into parking space and hop onto bus to catch flight that we just managed to get checked in for. Text car sales place and showed him pics, he was very appologetic and asked us to get the car dropped off at the garage that did the work (they re-used an old nut by all accounts). We had another courtasy car for the next few days and then we picked it up...... All I'll say is that he was a genuine guy and he has always dug out blind to sort the problems so couldn't fault him at all (the young lad who replaced the timing chain probably got a clip around the ear for his muppetry but all good). The warranty company however were/are a complete pile of horse shit and I wouldn't bother (quick internet search showed that their policy was simply to not pay out!) I personally would go back to the garage that sold it to you mate and explain the situation, I always thought that a business had to honour a 6 month mechanical warranty anyway but not sure if that would include suspension? Be nice and try not to be confrontational and they may surprise you and offer to carry out the work or pay half etc

It's growing on me, the nose is just fine but doesn't quite match the sides in my opinion, there's something missing. I think the sides need something adding to sit level with the front splitter (ie. so it sits about an inch off the asphalt all round)
