  1. Just spotted the latest issue of Max Power on sale in a service station advertised as the last ever edition. So I bought a copy for nostalgia purposes....all I can say is what a pile of shite! Any magazine that actively encourages speeding on public roads, dangerous mods on cars and generally displays an irresponsible attitude to its readers, should have been forced out of print a long time ago. Just my personal opinion and not meaning to come across as a miserable old fart but I'm not surprised that it can't compete with genuine motor car magazines such as JP etc Rant over....
  2. Anybody seen a BMW/Audi V10 conversion done in a Z32 (just throwing that one out there for thought)
  3. Is the inspiration taken from the Final Konnexion kit mate?
  4. I got an early wake up call, followed by a 'look after the kids for the day' whilst my wife and the mother inlaw got a full day of pampering at the Celtic Manor, Newport.......... How did that one happen????
  5. Highly regarded for AEM and HKS mapping is Greg at Protuner; maps all the Japspeed cars amongst other top competative cars and it's all done in house Not too many guys about who'd stay working until gone 4 in the morning on your car just to make sure that it's ready to go to comp at short notice.
  6. To be fair to the guy that built this ^^^^ he's put a lot of time and effort into it (I believe it took him two years and was built in his garage) and when you consider how similar it is to Veilside's new creation that took top honours at TAS, the guy hasn't done too bad really. Not to my taste but still credit where credit's due http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CB8QFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.topspeed.com%2Fcars%2Ftoyota%2F1993-toyota-supra-4509-gtr-by-veilside-ar103743.html&ei=Fo36TeHhH4KLhQfEsbijAw&usg=AFQjCNGdAL4sRBcSvajgO_GoS6_1_VMrpQ
  7. I reckon that'll go nicely with my wing mirror spinners!:punk:
  8. In a nutshell - track build is on hold'ish, will just 'tinker' over the summer in slow time fitting bits - Got my eye on a well spec'd GTR (present to self in weeks few) - Looking for a daily driver/company car (possibly tidy SWB TT)
  9. Necky fooker's got balls, that's all I can say *Cue scene from Star Wars......"This isn't the scooby you're looking for, move along!"
  10. ^^^^^^ Hit the nail on the head IMHO Yes the Japspeed drift car has been stolen by some necky pikey fooker' and it's a big deal within the drift community, but the fact of the matter is, very few people outside of the drift scene, those involved with Santa Pod or the surrounding area (or those that just want to throw around a bit of conspiracy thoery for kicks on forums) actually really gives a flying f**k, and that's not me being harsh, its true If Lewis Hamilton's F1 car was stolen during the grand Prix then yes it would make the news, but the fact is that its a car, built and run by an exhaust/car parts supplier and is competed in a relatively low budget motorsport, involving people that nobody outside of the scene have really heard of (middle aged, unemployed former boy band members aside) *Just one for the conspiracy thoery brigade* http://www.driftworks.com/forum/other-chat/135547-thieving-scum-alert-aware.html Has anybody actually considered the fact that quite a few well known members of the Driftworks forum actually openly challenged some pikey prick/s from Gloucester (who incidentally got out of pokey just 2 days prior, having been done for car theft!) to come and steal their drift cars, if he/they had the balls to do so. Quite possible that said pikey prick actually does have the balls and the skills to do so, and has just made a group of drifters look like a bunch of idiots (in his pikey eyes at least) If it was me, I'd be trawling all of the so called Japanese specialists/dodgy 'Jap' garages around the Gloucester area (some of which are well known by the Police) and maybe then they'd get somewhere I'm pretty sure, judging by this DW thread, that it's not just a simple case of jumping in a car like this and turning a key. Whoever took it obviously knew what they were doing again, just my 2p worth
  11. Matt black on a track zed yes, road zed no. Professional satin on road zed, definately. Rattle can matt with easy repair (or alternately cover with decal). Clear laquer on pucker paint job I would say is essential otherwise it'll mean a lot of trips to the paint shop for stone chips Just my views
  12. Come to think of it, the only SWB that I have driven was down at Ztech a few years ago, and that particular example was a real let down (turned out the tubs were seized) The only reason I stuck with the LWB was because it had two seats in the back Obviously that feature is pretty redundant when you've got a wife, three kids and a dog to fit in (not to mention the roll cage). So the zed has never really been used as a family wagon I just figured that if I could get hold of a relatively cheap SWB as a daily driver then this summer I'll at least be able to get out and about to a few meets and might just throw a few of the bits that I've got for my other build, on it just for kicks Still gunning for my GTR though, very close now
  13. The group buy thread for them is closed now I believe
  14. Yeah funnily enough I was just checking out the Mesiter R thread for some reason? and they offer two different spring rates LWB 8/6 and SWB 6/4 or something like that
  15. You're right it is a lovely car, a Do-Luck build I believe (standing by to be corrected though)
  16. as above, are SWB coilovers and LWB coilovers different? many thanks
  17. On Driftworks at the moment... http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-cars-sale-private-sales/148795-wrx-wagon-rwd.html
  18. This is a fair comment^^^^ also what about the kid (notice I didn't say fat!) that's had his lunch 'picked through' by the teacher and had the whole 'look children, Stuart's lunch is full of fatty sausage rolls, cakes and pastries and is absolutely disgusting, this isn't healthy and should be thrown in the bin etc' Not going to do his self esteem any good is it? *Note: The name Stuart is not intended to be associated with any known forrmer obese child who spent most of his time in Gregg's, and furthermore any similarity to a former fa...uh...child with a less than healthy diet, is purely coincidental*
  19. Personally mate, if it cries out to you then go for it, but if alarm bells are ringing then don't get swept up in the excitement of it all, and just let this one go If the work to get it right is minimal then fair enough, but if there's more than you could sort out (including cost wise) in the first weekend of owning it then it won't be the car crying out to you, it'll be your mrs screaming at you and calling you every name under the sun There are plenty of bargains to be had, take your time chief just my 2p worth
  20. Yep definately a Nissan Stagea RB25DET (or even an RB26DETT if your lucky enough to find a converted one) You will get a stock Stagea for £2k in the current climate I reckon (not an RB26 converted one though being realistic for a second)
  21. Legacy or Stagea I reckon
  22. VG30DETT powered Nissan Wingroad import...oh no, hang on I meant to say 1.5ltr, sorry:innocent: *appologies for crap pics* but it is for sale as we've just bought another Mitsubishi Grandis TD (which come to think of it, the 2.4 petrol was pretty good with about 160-170 bhp on tap)
