  1. Can't you just put a couple of traffic cones front and rear of your zed? recommending ebay cameras is all well and good but the ICCD's are shockinlgly shit so if it's even remotely dark then you won't capture **** all and with the amount of cold mornings/nights the chances of frost build up on the windscreen is greatly increased (so again you won't capture shit) and of course the internal lithium ion batteries that most of these utilise don't take kindly to cold so unlikely to last long enough If you're going to go down the camera route then I'd suggest that you invest in a decent fixed CCTV unit mounted in overwatch, powered off the mains and recording real time on a decent DVR. Forget the ebay tat
  2. That's the trouble with permitting team orders these days
  3. I'd be surprised if Red Bull pulled the same stunt to counter, Vettel has the moral high ground now without question
  4. I've got some matches...where would you like me to send them to mate?
  5. It's the same old cost vs reward argument though isn't it. Granted the VH45DE sounds awesome and no doubt low down grunt is fantastic but I know that I'd end up taking it down the forced induction route and costs would spiral back to the RB point, there are so many established UK based RB build specialists now that have track proven records backed up by TA, 1/2 mile records and the like that if you wanted to minimise the risk/cost of 'experimental' power then you have access to the available resources to do it I agree to a certain extent that stock for stock, engine for engine (not car for car I might add) that the two engines are very similar in performance, each with their own pros and cons but when you start going above 600bhp there really isn't the on hand expertise in the UK to plan, build, support and maintain a VG to the same levels of reliability as the RB and it's really that simple I'm not saying that the RB is bulletproof, because I think that that particular 90's myth has been well and truly busted but the preventatitive developments that have gone into mitigating against weak RB bottom ends/cooling etc is far more established than that for the VG again that's just my opinion and I'm not agreeing or dis-agreeing with the whole cost aspect because it isn't cheap whichever way that you look at it, but maybe some of the lessons learnt along the way could then be applied to improve the VG preventative measures
  6. Standing by for the innevitable 'Why would you want to.....the VG is amazing.....the RB is over rated.....as is the 2JZ.....all of these super tuners are wrong.....don't forget Bonneville.....the zed was Nissan's masterpiece (hence why it dominates Motorsport today) etc etc yada yada'
  7. I agree that the Japs got it bang on, unfortunately 'the day' was knocking on for 25 years ago
  8. It's a buyers market still and knocking on for Christmas (which of course means snow time) so it's quite possible that £3500-£4000 may be the maximum that someone considering buying a SWB TT zed is willing to pay right now
  9. What is it that you specialise in Mark, is it something to do with exhausts?
  10. I'm sure they'll be fine mate, although these obviously aren't made by BBS and won't have been manufactured under licence a lot of these copy rims are made in the same factory (albeit by 5 year old orphans wearing sand bags for clothes and sandals made out of coke cans....but don't feel guilty because they're very grateful for there 13p at the end of the month) and unless there have been loads of complaints about rims cracking etc then I'm sure they'll be perfectly safe.......and if they do crack.....well just send little Joshi' another 13p and he'll ask his fat boss for permission to make you some more! No seriously they look fine as they are mate, I'm not sure that you'll need anything in the centre to be honest
  11. Are they made by a company called 'Dare' or 'Calibre'? Nothing wrong with them at all mate and I know that people in the drift scene (who would once have slated them) have actually started to fit them.....however they aren't BBS so don't go putting BBS stickers on them, that's one of my OCD pet hates and may a thousand camel chod munching flies infest your zed's glovebox if you go ahead and stick them on your rims!!!
  12. Not that I like to gloat at other's mis-fortune but being a proud Welshman.....
  13. £90k? I see less than a grands worth of kit there....talk about mark up!
  14. With regards to the Police Officer reffering back to his notebook, that's perfectly acceptable in the eyes of the courts as that is precisely what the notebook is there for however by stating that you were not calling the Police Officer a liar but meerly suggesting that he was mistaken is exactly what the court wanted to hear as both parties have a justification to walk out of court with integrity intact Good effort mate.....however regarding the doughnuts in the car park after todays hearing, they pinged it on CCTV bud so sorry you're on your own with that one!
  15. Could've been worse I suppose http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-19979184 by all accounts the copper ^^^^ has now changed his statement......he's now adament that the mad man with the sword (aka. blind man with white stick) is actually a fully trained Jedi Knight and was witnessed by said copper, to be waving his lightsabre around in public in 'a most threatening manner'. Due to the fact that he believes the defendant to be a Jedi Knight and that it is common knowledge that Jedi Knights posess mind controlling powers, the judge presiding has accepted that it is most likely that all present in the courtroom could be under the control of some form of Jedi mind trick and therefore the Police Officers account of events are the more plausible. Obi Wan Whitestick has since been detained at her majesty's pleasure indefinately Like I said last night mate, good luck but do take some lube just in case.....may the force be with you!
  16. Many thanks for the help guys, I managed to get the compressor off the wagon and **** knows how but a load of water poured out? I identified the part supplier, then sent them an e-mail and eventually when all that was done I started the engine just to keep the battery topped up.......and the compressor kicked into life?? The air suspension is working fine now??????
  17. I think that a daily driver or company car for the most part will look better nice and shiney, but a toy can look good matt, satin, rats, vinyl wrapped, stickerbombed or anything really as long as it doesn't take itself too seriously
  18. I'm assuming the Police Officer wrote up and submitted a comprehensive report at the time with all of your details (age, build, clothing, distinguishing features, elevation, face, gait, hair and sex) and all of your vehicles details (not just registration number but make, model, colour, identifying marks etc) and I'm assuming that you have been given access to that report, you would at least know where the Police Officer was standing at the time of the alleged offence. I assume that the Police Officer doesn't require prescription glasses and if so, I assume that he was wearing them at the time (despite being undercover, unless it was a sunnt day and he was wearing sunglasses) *all of this is relevent because it should all be included in the report What could you have been doing at the time that would explain why the Police Officer mistakingly thought that you were looking at your mobile phone (note: rolling a cigarette would not be a good explaination) but maybe putting your windscreen shammy away after diligently wiping the windscreen and side window due to an un-expected build up of condensation etc Be polite and respectful emphasising that you don't believe that the Police Officer is lying but that he is mistaken and has mis-interpreted what he actually saw. This in conjunction with phone bill evidence (not really relevent or submissable but a little smoke and mirrors can't hurt your cause) Look everyone in the eye when you are talking to them and don't fidget Good luck anyway mate
