  1. 150+mph VW camper....jeez' the owner must be off his meds' Here's a V10 Viper engined VW camper that I found with a quick browse using the googles on tinterwebz' http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDEQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fastcar.co.uk%2F2011%2F02%2F02%2Fmodified-v10-viper-vw-camper-van%2F&ei=ikirUJihOsWV0QWKsICgDA&usg=AFQjCNHHQrUbxyztpyg_1GdhioqRB0pbog&sig2=ZkVEErIRvKAxIFbWML-3UA I remember years ago, didn't Top Gear take Jamie Oliver's VW camper around Dunsfold (Porker engine I think)
  2. My HID system was just plug and play, I'm looking for a video clip or pics of it fitted but it's pretty straight forward mate
  3. For example when I record video clips on my Blackberry, I save it to Photobucket in exactly the same way that I do with pics and then cut and paste the IMG code across (I did this with the short video clip in my sig)
  4. Without doubt the best real world investment for the zed in my view
  5. I think your caps' lock is on mate..
  6. Yeah something like that mate
  7. I had it years ago with a set of BK's that I bought direct from the manufacturer after using their own vehicle model/wheel fitment guide, the offset was wrong. I thought they'd just swap them for a set with the correct offset but they wouldn't and ended up sending a set of 3mm shims as 'a gesture of good will'. I can't stand shims so looked at selling them on....unfortunately a kind hearted garage sold them on for me as they had a buyer lined up, then the garage went under... See if the seller will exchange them, if not try them with good quality spacers and see how they feel. Very unlikely that you'll be using them at 150+ anyway I suppose
  8. Photobucket, same as you would do with pics mate or cut and paste link for Youtube clips
  9. Like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Real-Carbon-Fibre-Fiber-Front-Splitter-Increase-Downforce-Less-drag-/261104727052?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ccb0df40c
  10. I bought some years ago from Carbon mods, who supplied them with my front splitter http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/ though I ended up using them as front wing re-enforcement on my old LWB instead
  11. If ferrari had just played it down and said 'We identified a minor problem with Massa's car prior to the race and had no option but to rectify it' then yes, but to openly admit to it as a team tactic leaves a bitter after taste and had Alonso won in the US it would have taken some of the shine off the victory as far as I'm concerned. Ferrari's decision had an impact on the entire field behind them which was out of order
  12. I spotted this on another forum Team Extreme's R35 in development for drag racing in 2013. Not subtle is it? A tube chassis carbon bodied R35 GTR with a pretty monstrous engine! Engine power has been quoted as between 1700 and 2500bhp and needless to say it will cause a right stir amongst the top cars of its class next year when it comes out.
  13. (1) Cones are easy to come by without the need to steal them (eg. 1st of 303 listings on ebay) and granted the cones could get stolen but so could your car/wheelie bins/gnomes etc http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-No-Parking-No-Waiting-Traffic-Cones-used-/310502254832?pt=UK_BOI_ProtectiveGear_RL&hash=item484b6068f0 (2) The traffic cones 'protective value' obviously aren't so much due to their ballistic like counter Range Rover properties but more to do with the 'Look at me I'm a traffic cone and you're about to drive into me'ness' and it may help reduce damage acting like a barrier between your zed and this clumsy arse' Range Rover (3) Condensation on lens, frost, moisture ingress, IP rating, low light capability (or inability more to the point), battery drain due to cold, lack of sustainable power source, reliability of motion detector function on cheap cameras is generally **** I've got two cameras perminantly fitted in my zed in the front and rear windows, the lenses need wiping over everytime I want to use them due to condensation and the battery lives are pretty crap in the cold. These cameras are cheap and cheerful and you really do get what you pay for.
  14. As above but be aware a friend of mine has owned several Radicals over the years and he's on his 3rd one now (SR3's rather than SR8's granted) however the principal is still the same. They have to be rebuilt every so many hours of track time (40 hours I believe off the top of my head) and it needs continuous maintenance. Again I can't recall exactly but the SR8 puts out about 450'ish and sits in a vehicle weighing around 650-700kg so maybe not the most practical for a lardy arse such as the zed Nice big forced induction V8 yes or if you're going down the BMW powered route (and if cost isn't such an issue) maybe consider the S85 V10 from the M5
  15. That'd do, if it's good enough for the GT1 R35's it'll be enough for pottering along to the shops
  16. In fact, there you go matey http://wiki.answers.com/Q/PTU_1990_300zx
  17. Isn't it ignition timing or something equally as black magic like?
  18. S1 prone to failure in later years, S2 was re-design by Mr Nissan on later zeds as far as I'm aware
  19. Not meaning to go off topic but I believe it was up for sale a year or so back, I can't remember how much but I think it was £80k (could be wrong though)
  20. There's not a lot left to change to be honest, but maybe an engine swap from an AMS ALPHA 12 R35 GTR (is an engine swap allowed?)
  21. but no seriously, I think I'd just buy the JUN Hyper Lemon R34 GTR and be content
