SE Open day + 300zx only RR shootout!
If my car's back on the road by then, I might be up for this. Hopefully I'll get my exhaust on, too.

Have to say the AA seem to be pretty on the ball these days. The last time I needed them, a month or so ago, I rang them from the side of the M4 and said that my turbos had gone and that I needed a flatbed lorry to tow me home. The AA duly sent out a flat bed and towed me - no quibbles, no "we need to look first", no "response van", just the flatbed and a lift home. Also, they were so busy that night that they drafted in separate companies to pick up all the broken down cars. I've never been with the RAC or Green Flag or anything else, so have no comments about those, but the AA seem to be doing pretty well by me. :)

I've asked the other major ones as well - RAC, Green Flag, Direct Line etc but so far the AA are the only ones whose details I have received. When I get the rest, I'll post up their details and we can decide on which one is the best for the club. :)

As there is no set start date, the discount would be available from your renewal date. This allows for new members to join as and when, rather than waiting for the Club Start Date to roll round again. The schemes available on the 15% discount option are : Option 100 (Roadside Assistance) Option 200 (Roadside & Relay) Option 300 (Roadside, Relay & Home Start) Option 400 (Roadside, Relay, Home Start & Relay Plus) A breakdown of each option and standard pricing is here Remember that the prices shown are without the 15% discount.

Hi all... In doing some ringing round for Group insurance on the Zeds, I thought I'd try the recovery companies as well, as we all know how reliable these cars can be.... :D The AA have come back to me first with their information and they offer 15% discount to club members. This also includes (as standard) the following : Caravan Recovery Trailer Recovery Motorbike Recovery Reasonable off road access Up to 8 passengers including the member Vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and 23' in length No lower age limit to membership No age limit on vehicles covered. Added to which, they will give a commission to the 300ZX.CO.UK club for every new member that joins. So - my question is this - would people be interested in this scheme?

I believe that Craig is in the middle of sorting out the latest batch of cheques. In the meantime, I'll move you to subscribed member status. :)

Hello.... At the moment, the Club Bank Account is in moving-limbo, so if you can send the cheque to : 7 Gardener's Close Blackpole Worcester WR4 9YZ and make it payable to A Luckett, then I can sort it out for you. Cheers. :)

gutted!!!
...and to top it off, the contents of his premises weren't insured, despite him having owned them site for 2 years. Buildings were insured, contents were not. He was "looking into getting" contents insurance when it happened.

FAO Ajay (club insurance)
Sorry, been really hectic here of late. Have rung a few companies and a couple have said that they are willing to "look into" doing a deal with us. However, I have some more contacts, so will carry on and get the best deal possible.

Side repeaters
No no...indicators must be visible from behind...that's why there're usually 3 sets : fore, aft and side. Side indicators can be flush with the car, providing their light can still be seen.

Had to happen sooner or later I suppose
Do make sure that you've seen the photographic evidence before you try that route, though, as if it's obviously you in the car, you can get into worse trouble. Best thing to do is get someone else to fill it in for you and not to sign it. It becomes inadmissable then, as in the Dwight Yorke case.
