  1. I just can't believe how these people can charge their prices and justify it. Kassy (my German Shepherd) hurt a paw on Sunday running in the park. I took her to the vets last night for what looked like a sprain, charged £65 which was 39 consultation and £25 on an anti-inflamortory - £6 online!!! Last night I notice a small hole in the middle of her pad/foot which turns out had pus in in it. I cleaned it all up but obviously she needed antibiotics, so off tho the vets again this morning. £112 this time which was £29 consultation, £25 to flush the hole with saline solution and then £65 for antibiotics. I asked them are they joking about the £25 for saline solution and they replied that's the price. Got home and checked the medication online and could get it for less than £30 delivered. I expect the vets to put a mark up but 2-3 times the cost is a joke!!! To say I'm livid is an understatement. I don't mind paying vets vees and for anything my dog needs but to be bent over and royaly f**ked up the arse is just not on!!!!

  9. I've been in your situation mate, been in love once in my life and it didn't work out. I'll always love her but you come to realise it wasn't meant to be. You have to look after yourself and realise you have the right to be happy and not have to chase after anyone.
  10. Hi Dewi, Absolutely never be ashamed to get councelling, it takes balls to ask for help and you've done it. Vijay

  16. Will go to my GP Monday morning as long as I don't feel any worse (don't fancy 5 hours in A&E)
  17. I was involved in a small accident on Thrusday where someone pulled out in front of me (in my Challenger 4x4). There wasn't much speed involved as it was in Brent Cross car park but his door (Honda accord) was completely caved in (would just about open it from the inside with a shove). I didn't think much of it, just reported it to my insurance for them to deal with. This morning at around 3 or so I woke up with the room spinning as soon as I moved my head and I can't walk in a straight line from the room spinning. I've just thought that I must have an ear infection or something but my Mum just popped round and said could it be anything to do with the accident. Googled whiplash and it came up with vertigo and dizziness as symptoms. I've never heard of them coming from whiplash and just wondered if anyone has ever had it? Vijay
  18. Thanks everyone. It was already a special day but that just brought something extra. Maybe as Batman said, on such a day you wouldn't notice something like the sun coming out but I know the whole morning was gloomy as I was walking outside so was in the rain and would have been happy to see the sun shine. I'll like to believe it was something a little more than it might have been, brings a little comfort hoping he's in a nicer, better and more special place.
  19. As Derek said, make sure you do regular oil services. I do 6 month oil services and I never do more than 3k miles
  20. It was my friend's funeral today and even though is was a very sad day, also really lovely too, obviously a well loved man. Not ashamed to say, there was a lot of tears. Anyway, I'm not religious in any shape or form but the strangest thing happened. Now, the weather in London is just grey clouds at the moment with rain all day yesterday and on and off today. The main part of the funeral was over and the priest was just saying the final prayers when all of a sudden, the whole church brightened up with sunshine, flooding through all the windows. Then about a minute or two later, sun was gone and it's not shone for the rest of the day. I've not found God or anything but is that not wierd????
  21. Think Pixas is spot on, you need to have a passion to appreciate a Z. I haven't driven mine in years but I looked at mine last night and just thought wow! I just think they turn heads and that's what BMW's just dont have (just my opinion). Guess you have to weigh up insurance/tax/mot to justify keeping it too :(
