  1. Or pretty sure you can do it simply with a Conzult which I have ;)
  2. I live near Cricklewood and rarely see any other Z's. What colour is yours?
  3. That's my mate Frank ;) Where abouts are you?
  4. had the same problem and could only find black ones in the U.S :(
  5. Was it a black guy driving it?
  6. IIRC the main thing is they don't lose any pressure depending on hot/cold
  7. Allan, now you're just being clever!!! lol You're spot on mate ;)
  8. Cheers bud. So if there's no voltage going through it, it's simply blown and would need replacing? Are they easily available from an electronics components place do you think? Is it just a fuse desgned to blow at over 99C?
  9. Can anyone tell me what this part is from an oven. I've tried googling it but nothing :( It has the following written on it: Sheng Ping SPF96 TF 99 oC 10a 250v 15a 125v 094 Cheers Vijay
  10. Must be difficult for you guys when you worked there cos I've always heard the same thing, was even on Watchdog the other week about having to sell stuff that wasn't needed or you were out :( Just sad that places are happy to blatently rip people off :( People go to main dealers cos they're supposed to look after their cars/customers and know how to work on the cars. Shame that joe public doesn't realise what they can actually be like
  11. I was in waitng for a couple of recalls to be done on my car (Mitsi dealers). Had the pleasure of having to wait for 3 hours (told it would be 90 minutes max) and could over hear the service guy ringing customers to "advise" them on what's wrong with their cars. The worst had to be him calling a lady and telling her the problem for her car low on power is where the throttle cables goes through to the engine is stuck solid. She will need the throttle boddies replacing at a charge of £695 + VAT for parts and he'll have to get back to her on labour. Surely some carb cleaner and a toothbrush would clean up any throttle boddies!!! She gave him the go ahead cos he said he'd order in the parts for tomorrow................. Also told me that they'd topped up my oil and I needed a new air filter when they obviously didn't noticed the old filter sitting on the back seat, to which I told him it was replaced 2 weeks ago. He replied "oh" lol Just makes me angry having to listen to the crap some places tell people. Vijay
  12. found this a helpful place ;) http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/index.php?
  13. I hate that, when I've bought stuff from Ebay etc and its' faulty, then they expect you to pay for returns like it's your fault
  14. I fit kitchens & bathrooms and been around the building game for around ten years. Can't say I've ever done a large project like a full house but believe I could and certainly not afraid of hard work
  15. I though it worked out watts/volts = amps so it does work out to 10amps. Anyway, think it's easier to just buy a new small vacuum ;)
  16. And downsides Davy? How did you get an idea of what you wanted, an architect?
  17. yeah the paperwork for the hoover says power consumption 120 watts, max current draw 10 amps. After a small hoover that I can clean the stove with that will fit in a unit in the alcove. If the PSU will be expensive I might as well buy a new small hoover. It's just that I have a powerfull small hoover sitting in the garage that would be ideal for the fact it's 12v. Been told that I could use a PSU from an old PC
  18. Yep something like that but can deliver 10amps
  19. Hi, Does anyone know what is needed to convert 240v to a 12v car plug? Thing is is needs to be 10amps for a small hoover so the ones on Ebay all seam to be max 1 amp. Cheers Vijay
  20. You make it sound so simple!! lol Other thing that interests me is a very green house, using solar, ground source heat etc so need to do some investigation into all that.
  21. Been watching Grand design but don't think they go into enough detail for a total novice. I'm hoping most of it would come out of equity from my house and then possibly topped up with a mortgage. I may even loko at renting out my current house and borrowing, I really don't know yet. Don't have a real idea of the layout but know it has to be pretty spacious with a bit of land (for a few cars, at least triple garage and large workshop). I guess sitting down with an architect would help me get an idea of layout. I'm gonna see if there's any magazines available on self build properties.
  22. Just wondered if anyone has gone down this route. I'm seriously thinking of getting out of London in the next couple of years and would want a house with large garage and workshop and no direct neighbours. Been looking at houses online and obviously not all have what I want so thinking self build maybe the answer to the right house. I've absolutely no idea where I would start with this so anyone have any experience? Cheers Vijay
  23. IIRC you can't put a manual in an auto but can the other way around
