  1. Hi, Got a leak on my Mums Potterton Performa 30HE boiler and wondered if anyone can help me with part I need to change. The leak is between the diverter manifold and the hot water pressure differential valve. On the diagram, there are two grub screws, it's leaking from one of the other 2 holes that are there. I changed the diapraghm and the rubber seal on the hot water pressure differential valve about a month ago and the in spares packet was a very small O ring. I enquired what that was for and the supplier told me I didn't need to use it. Could that be the part that is now leaking? I've also attached 2 pictures of the leak (click for larger pics) Cheers Vijay
  2. Cheers guys. It's not for my Z which is why it needs to be universal ;)
  3. Pretty certain the only way to test a battery is a load test, voltmeter won't show if the battery has enough amps to turn the engine.
  4. sounds more like the battery. Try a jump start and see if it does the same
  5. Has anyone ever seen a digital display that shows all 3 readouts? I'm looking for something universal that will display readings that can be easily fixed onto/into a dash. I don't mean normal round gauges. Cheers Vijay
  6. Instructions for the Toad? If so what's your email address as I'm sure i have it :)
  7. Really sorry to read this. It's sad we can't have our furry friends for our whole lives but all we can do is love them while we have them. Vijay
  8. and if you can't turn up, at least have the decentsy to phone!!! I just hate when people leave you sitting waiting for them to turn up :(
  9. that's just a bit bulky for incar though :(
  10. Cheers bud. Could I use a normal switch for the signal and should I switch the + or - ?
  11. Hi, I need to connect 2 video cameras to one screen on my other car so was just going to have a 3 way switch - camera 1/off/camera 2. I can either switch the + or 1 of the the video signal or the + or - of the power to the camera. Would it make any difference which one I switched? Cheers Vijay
  12. I know tradesmen get a bad rap but you can see why. Wouldn't really get away with it most other jobs :(
  13. Pretty certain the under/over 5KW thing is to do with needing aditional air vents in your room for air intake into the burner ;)
  14. I fitted my own wood burner last year and installled a flue liner. I bought all my stuff from the place Alan said, brilliant service and very helpfull. The reason I did my own was cos I was quoted £1300 to fit only which I thought was an absolute joke (1 days work he told me). Fitting was pretty easy with a mates help and I had easy access to my roof which obviously helped. I would say as long as you can get to the chimney, it's an easy job mate. I was told and read that it's always best to line and insulate the flue as you have no real idea of the state of your existing chimney. Also makes cleaning easier. Vijay
  15. Would you mind updating this post when you get time to finish? Think I'm gonna do mine anyway, contemplating doing my 4x4 at the same time...............
  16. Just wondered how you got on with the finished job? Was it worth it as I'm thinking of doing mine soon. Vijay
  17. what did you use on that???
  18. shows how nutnut women can be............
  19. very nice mate. I see some of the jobs that are doen by "proffesionals" round here and they don't have a patch on your job!
  20. How much would a decent setup cost? Would you use a proper screen or a white wall? What are they like in daylight?
  21. Still haven't got the HDMI problem sorted out but will probably stick with W7 for the time being. One thing I did like that's not on W7 is outlook express, was nice and simple for email. Is there any other simple options apart from going to Windows live mail? Cheers Vijay
  22. I'll tell him to stick to a roller then, his neighbours already hate me lol
  23. My mate has this job in the summer and asked me if there's any sprayable system out there. Be handy if there was!!!
  24. Got W7 installed but already having a few issues :( Microsoft fingerprint reader no longer works - from what I've read there is no support for it in W7. Won't boot up into VGA screen if my HDMI cable is attached - I'm hoping Nvidia can advise on that, hoping I can just upgrade the bios or something. Nvidea had a useful tool called Nview which gave you lots of options. Not on the latest driver software and they removed it for W7 If I can't sort the HDMI thing out, will be back to XP cos that'll do my head in!
