  1. Companies doing that let themselves down. I always judge a company on how prompt they are on the phone cos if there's a problem afterwards, it would wind me up not to get to speak to someone :(
  2. That was my exact point, they should have told you and not charged you as they didn't complete the job properly. Money back if I was you :(
  3. sorry mate buy I'd want a refund as surely they were happy to take your money and tell you they'd done the job properly. If they haven't got the right equipment to do your car, they should have told you that and not let your car leave saying they'd finished.
  4. throttle idle control switch, clean the connector under the TPS (Part of the TPS)
  5. What part of London are you? This might be out of the way but it'll be where I take my car to - http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/

  11. Hi, I'm trying to track down a neighbour who move to an area I'd like to move to. I googled him and his name, the town and first part if his postcode came up. Is there anyway of finding out his full address for free? Cheers Vijay
  12. only problem with Iphone is IIRC the min contract is around £35 unless you buy the phone
  13. Hi Barry, Have a quick read of my post a month or so ago ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=146220&highlight=smartphone Have to say, people were right, I went from a normal phone to a smartphone and would now never go back. Only thing is my Desire is a larger phone than my old one (Nokia 6600 fold) so I still use my old phone when I go out ;) Vijay
  14. Do a quick search for "auto turbos", there's a few posts about your question ;)
  15. IIRC auto turbos are slightly smaller and have slightly less lag. No idea if you'd notice it though

  18. well done Jim, think you've bought a nice car there!
  19. What I did is keep 2 days worth of antibiotics and order the rest online which is being shipped out today. And I am paying for their services, £40 for 20 minutes yesterday and £30 for 15 minutes today, so I'd say that was a good mark up/profit! I'm not saying they shouldn't make a mark up, of course they're a business, but £25 for saline solution is taking the p**s!!!! and mark up the medication by at least 4 times is not right surely.
  20. The concept is good as you don't get any nasty large bills but it's the exclusions of conditions that annoy me. Good news is that I've spoken to the practise manager and she's refunding the money back for the saline solution at £25. She started banging on about the practise costs like that justifies being ripped off.
  21. and they don't tell you the extortionate price until they hand you the bill. Think it's all inflated for insurance purposes...........
  22. Sorry but I think pet insurance is yet another rip off. I was with petplan for my first dog and they eliminate things they cover one by one, once my dog had a problem with it. I insured this dog when I first got her and once the price went over £500 I thought this is a joke and stopped which I've not regretted. Touch wood she's been healthy with only the odd visit to the vets. It's the hugely inflated prices that really get to me cos they know you love your animals. I just brought back some of the antibiotics and got a prescription (12 quid). So I've got antibiotics for 2 days and ordered the other 8 days worth online, saved £25 which is better than a kick in the balls. I also spoke to the head nurse at the vets who tried to give me some bull about £25 for saline solution and how I have to pay for the vets time and the rent of the building. He couldn't answer when I asked what the consultation fee is for then............ I'm going into see the practise manager tomorrow cos I want them to justify £25 for saline solution and an explanation why their medication is 3-4 times more expensive. I'm not letting this lye and will tell them that I intend to tell pet owners I meet what the practise is like. Sorry to rant, just hate being ripped off!!!!!
