  1. Happy birthday Nicci
  2. Decided to get my car MOTed early so that I could ensure it was OK and I hadn't got another lemon. Needed to replace both front tyres because of some weird damage to the inside walls but otherwise all good. Now have 12 months MOT and peace of mind the car is as good as I thought it was :gunsmilie:
  3. I think it is a great idea for this type of meeting. Varying the location each year would also get my vote, there are lots of motor / transport museums, for example, around the country to visit. How about York or Duxford as other options? Not car museums but good places for anyone with families to have something to do. As for Joe public, I would have been more worried at JAE with some of the people who have walked through the area over the years.
  4. After weeks of looking for a new Zed, finally fond one. In fact I wanted to buy this one when it was for sale a month or so ago but hadn't agreed finances with the better half. Luckily it didn't sell so the guy but it up for sale again so off I went to see it. It is an automatic, the first I have ever owned so a little strange to drive. Picked it up in London on Friday evening and drove it back without any problems (other than the radio being temperamental of what station it wanted to play. That stereo has been replaced with my old one so I can use / charge my iPhone without extra leads everywhere. It is very clean inside and out with no rust and a very clean engine bay. Don't plan to do much with it, other than change the side indicators and possibly the rear lights to de-tango. I am also toying with a mod on the gearbox but not sure yet, need to do some more research. Just a shame it the Coventry meet wasn't this weekend ! So happy to be in a Zed again/
  5. I will second that. It was great catching up with you all. For those who couldn't make it. I will post some more later
  6. I am desperately looking for a new Zed Twin Turbo, preferably manual but not too fussed. Needs to be in good condition as it will be my daily drive and I will not get away with it going straight to the garage for repairs. I have £3,000 to spend so let me know if you are selling or know of one for sale.
  7. Yep I bought it and it turned out to be a bit of a lemon.... Quite a bit of rust and the engine gave up. Now in bits in my summerhouse.

  20. No, he was on the back of a low loader off up north. I gave him a PTU and a MAF so when at Corley he could try and fix while waiting for the next truck to take him further north.
