  1. Only going off the stock boost gauge but there is no power there...
  2. Sorry Si, the mechanic said that when he did the test it held pressure. When I drive and put my foot down, the gauge goes to 0 and then stops. You can also feel some resistance as though it wants to accelerate but there's nothing there.
  3. Still have no boost but been working on trying to get to the bottom of the issue before taking it to PowerZed or LA Autos. Car has had a full service and "supposedly" a boost test that came up negative. However I have been speaking to various people and hooked the car to Datascan and noticed some anomalies.. The Duty Cycle is blank and the A/F Ration stays permanently on lean even when I take it out for a drive. I thought it was supposed to oscillate on lea and rich? Checked the TPS and the connection had green crud on it, cleaned it as much as I can but not difference. There is also no difference if I disconnect while engine is running. No error codes being reported. Still no smoke either, which after 18 months of this, if it was a seized turbo, I would have thought would have happened by now. Any ideas before I save up to take it to an expert?
  4. So sorry to hear this Trish.. Condolences from me and the girls.

  15. Can't believe it's been 6 months but I have been doing some investigation on and off over that time. I have been using the car occasionally and I am not getting any smoke, so take that as a good sign... Anyway found the pipe to the boost regulator (?? in the corner of the engine you by the fuse box and brake master cylinder) was split so replaced that. The pipes from the centre of the balance bar to the IAT and ACC didn't fit well, so I have replaced those. All now sounds better but still no boost. So last weekend I decided to try the test Jimmer suggested. Took the air intake hose off the drivers side and, started car. It ran but no movement in the glove. Put that hose back and did the same to the passenger side and the car would not start. I am assuming therefore that a pipe has come off on the drivers side, and this is the problem. Does that make sense ? I had a look around the underside and from but couldn't see much. Anyone got a disgrace of where the pipe work goes from the turbo to engine?
  16. Happy birthday Graham
  17. A first for me... Realised the MOT was due on Sunday, so took it in and it passed with no advisories! That’s the first time that’s happened with a Zed for me. Just need to fix the boost issue and the speedo that decided to stop working on the way home.
  18. Happy birthday Russ, Hope you had a good un
  19. Unfortunately I am not going to make it as I have to drive my daughter and her friend to Wales. Its even more of a pain that I have to drive right past the Museum to get there but they wont fit in the Zed! If I am lucky I may be able to stop on the way to say hello at least.
  20. It is not going beyond 0 when I drive it under load It is fine but does not give any acceleration you normally get when the turbos kick in. My fear is that as it has been standing for a bit, a turbo has seized but wouldn't you get some boost from the one turbo?
  21. Oh dear......
  22. Not driven the zed for a while so last week I took it out to give it a run and noticed I had no boost. The boost gauge needle would get to 0 but not go any further. I have checked the boost pipes I can see and thought I heard a bit of a hiss from the pipe off the back of the balance bar. Took it off and saw it had a cut where the clamp had cut into the rubber. I have put a load of insulating tape around it to see if it makes a difference but no joy. Am I missing something else?
  23. Happy birthday Lee
