Mine is my daily drive so it has had to get me to the station and back each day. Its been OK once I got it moving, but quickly learnt not to park facing uphill!

Jeff, Jamie and Lynda thanks for hosting, sorry I was so late and couldn't stay very long. Shame I couldn't bring the Zed but at least it has a new tyre and is ready for work tomorrow.

I have to go to the outlaws for lunch, so I will be there early :crying: ! I will have a friend and his son with me, they think the zed is great and want to see more of them. :thumbup:

I have had a Blackberry for work for 5 years now and couldn't live without it But I have just bought the wife an iPhone for her birthday and for personal use, I think this is much better. Cost wise, as Tracemandan said, ensure you have unlimited internet / data on the contract as you can soon rake up large charges for this. The downer on the iPhone is the high insurance cost (£12 per month with Orange). We have quite few people at work with old phones and an iPhone contract because they broke the screens and didn't get insurance. Not sure how much it is to insure a Blackberry but the control wheel and screens do break quite easily (20% of our fleet have had to be repaired, we have 1300 of the b***ers) As for capping the contract, we can do that on our business phones, so don't see why you cannot do it for personal contracts but it may cause you problems if you go abroad as the costs for calls go up. Hope this is of use.

Thanks all. I had a fantastic day at Palmer Racing. The setup there is incredible. we drove Porsche 911 JP3, Clio sport, Karts, Caterham, Jaguar XKR (what a sound from that beast!), Palmer Jaguar JP1 and finally 15 minutes in a Formula Jaguar. I had some new camara gear so took loads of pictures, so will put some up later. There were in-car camara's on the Formala Jaguar so when I figure out how to put that up I will. Check out the the local schools, they are often after Admin people. There is an Education newspaper (I Think it is weekly) that has loads of jobs in it.

If you are copying to a CD the easiest way is to drag the files onto the CD Drive (usually D Drive) and once finished, right click on D drive and choose "Write to Disk" That should be it.

You need to pay an extra £10 per month for multiroom. They also have to run another cable from the disk to the 2nd box.

One of the perks of being in charge of an IS departments purchasing is that we get quite a few jollies from the suppliers. I normally don't take them and give them to others in the department as they are mostly golf and football. Any gifts we collect and have a charity raffle at Christmas. Today I have been invited to a day at Palmer Sports in Bedford :hyper: - No chance of this one going to the department, its mine ! Even better is that it is on my birthday :dance: :nana2: :dance:

If Vista was not included with the PC then you will be able to move the license to another PC then without any problems.

If you are buying a full version of Windows 7 and not an upgrade, in theory you can. It will depend if the version you are using at the moment is an OEM version or not. If it is an OEM version, it is licensed to that manufacturer and the code may not work on another manufacturers machine. The label with the Vista license key on it willsay if it is OEM or not.
