Today at lunch time today in the Poddington Garden Centre car park. Nice looking G reg, standard spec. One day I will see another zed when I am in mine !

Got the car back last night.. It was the clutch. Took it for a spin and it feels as if the clutch is slipping under heavy acceleration. Is there an easy way to see if it is slipping ?

Sounds exactly what happened to me on Thursday ! Mine is in with a local garage tomorrow for a new clutch. I hope it is just that and nothing more serious..

When it started It was hard to get it into gear, 4th especially. The clutch pedel did feel different so I am hoping it is the clutch and good old Zedworld can sort it out for me.. It's my daily drive and £20 a day in taxi's to and from the station is not what I need just now.

Coming home tonight and I over took someone and as I went to change gear I heard a crunching noise and found it difficult to engage a gear. Finally got it in gear but everytime the gear engaged it made a funny noice and seemed to jurk a bit. It still went though. Just gone out to see if it was OK. Put it in 1st and pulled away but when I engaged 2nd gear and released the clutch, nothing :rant: I had to coast down the road to park up. Now it will go into gear OK but when I release the clutch it won't go anywhere. :rant: Any ideas ?

Just looked out the window and there is a nice looking Zed on Old St at Finsbury Square, going towqards Mooregate Station. :) VERY shiney wheels and an aftermarket rear spoiler. Looked nice for a red car :nelson:

I think my brother works for a Ford dealer if that helps. I know I should know but the dealer keeps changing thier marques.

A Bit of help for my boss's PA. She had a problem with her steering and was told to top up the fluid. When she went to her garage the bloke there said he didn't have any but Auto Transmission oil was the same. She has now put that into the power steering system. If it is relevant she has a BMW convertible. Is this OK? I don't know enough about the fluids to answer her but thought there were plenty of people here who would know. Its my annual appraisal time so if I can help my boss's PA I will get a few brownie points :cool:

Went onto confused.com to see how much they would quote for the Zed. How shocked was I when I scrolled down the list £99,999 - £100,044 :shock: all they had to say was "no thanks " :rant: I think I will call Adrian Flux :o

Sharky - Not mine they are ford and punto owners! Some live live in St Annes Rd and a brother lives on Stafford Road. Don't get over as much as I should but would be up for a meet and a pint.

I think I know what it meant ! Went to drive home last night and the battery was flat :rant: Got it home, replaced the battery and all working fine with no chiming :)

Doesn't mention the damage to the bonnet or front bumper. I am always suspicious when people don't show pictures of the inside. With only 63000 miles it should be worthy of a picture or two. At least the wheels and tyres look in good nick.

Going northbound around Grantham at 15:00 taday. I wasn't in mine as it is being pampered at Zedworld.

A 60% drop from Contract to perm is a little high, I would have said 45-50% was the norm 6-9 months ago but these are wierd times. I would take the job. I buy contract resource for my firm and our requirements have gone from £600k pa in previous years to £100k this year. Coupled to that rates have dropped 50% in the last 4-6 weeks ! As everyone else has said, take it. The contract market is pants at the mo and the permenant market in IT is going to see quite a few redundancies very soon.

It is like a chime, the same noise as if I had left the lights on when I get out of the car. Took the interia bulb out ut still happens. Any ideas ?

Suddenly my car has started to make 6 pings (like I had left the lights on) whenever I turn on the ignition. I assume it is trying to tel me something but cannot find out what. Any ideas ? I have checked and there are no lights on and the only thing I did on the car this weekend was to replace the interia light bulb.

I had the same with a Porche 911.. He said he to wire the money and he would deliver. I said we had an office in the next town and would be there the next week, if he gave me the address I would give hime the cash and drive it home. Never heard from him again.

4-5 inches for us. Had to get a lift to station as the zed's nose couldn't get over the snow...
