I've got Powertrix Rear ajustable arms and will be asking you soon for some of the SPL rear arms as they feel a lot more robust and as I drive a bit more enthusiastically than most I do feel the Powertrix ones flex a little. All the stuff on the front is SPL and just feels more solid. Not knocking the Powertrix as I'll put thse on my soon to be NA.
  2. Just wondering what grade oil all the smokey Joes are using. I've been running Mobile 1 0-40 fully synthetic and have just changed to Millers Trackday 10-50 fully synthetic and the problem has gone completely. So i recon that the oil was just too thin and sloshed straight down the rocker vents along the pipes through the PVC's and into the plenum.

You really could do with ajustable tie bars, ajustable front camber arms and the rear camber arms. Give Smithy a bell he does them all. The SPL ones are the best. Rock solid. I got trix or what ever they are called on the rear and they arn't as robust as the SPL.
  4. I like that spoiler and think it will look nice on the old zedster.
  5. Well I pay £800 a year now for my Zed. and bear in mind I'm in my 40's live in the sticks and had the car with them soon 8 years. Was £900 last year and £1100 year before. They gave me a good offer 2 years back which is why Zurich drop their price. I also know that Zurich are one of the companies Flux use.
  6. Sounds like one of the many So called harmless care in the comunity nut balls that they used to lock up. Now days they ony lock em up when they murdered a few people. Then say "ye we new she was a homocidal maniac with a burning ambition to kill people, but we thought it was in her best interest to mix with others as part of her treatment".
  7. You have to ask to speak to an underwriter and not some nob on the sales desk. Also you should be looking at actual insurance companies and not group brokers who sell policies under their own wrapper as it were. Or speak to specialist brokers who do exactly that. Their used to be a pretty good crowd on here. can't remember what they were called. I'm with Zurich and have an agreed valuation but I have 5 other cars with them. and spend over £3k a year on car insurance.
  8. Looks like the signiture front bumper that been modified

Thats a poor colour match
  10. Perhaps because it's an NA. Though i thought series 4 had two tone alcantara and Leather.
  11. Series 2 interior thats refered to is the UK spec revised version. With Alcancara / Swade effect in the door, rear , clove box and all lower pannels with leather seats. So the 93/94 spec cars would fit no problem + the UK cars also had heated seat and full electrics for both seats. mine is November 94 and is series 3 if I read the revisions properly but the interior is classed as a series 2.
  12. The last 2 I bought were about £98 so £100 + £20 to fit I think is pretty good as they would be a real bitch to fit unless you have a 4 or 2 poster
  13. many happy returns and have a nice birthay.
  14. Correct he told me I could have any colour or pattern leather I wished so long as it was in the Aston catalogue One day
  15. There's a guy in the Midlands who works at Aston Martin and he retrimed Latz Yellow pearl yellow car. The one that Kirbz sold recently. I met him at a Midlands meet about 4 years ago and he gave me a card. He was looking a £1700 then so i'd think about £2000 + these days. Trying to think who brought him. Pretty sure it was Dunk300tt that brought him or knows him well.
  16. Thats wyh you kept going stait on every time we all turned on to different roads or pulled up for food.   We just though you had carp sat-nav or just plain lost :slap:
  17. Does the original oil cooler return pull or is it purely governed buy the oil feed regulator. (Now this is just an Idea and I really haven't done anything other than run it through my bonce.) See I just have mine blanked of and was thinking that if your catch tank had a oil return on a one way valve to the original oil cooler feed return loop and the gasses could return to the PCV valves. I know there would conflicting presure problems with regard the to the purged gas and the regulator oil flow, but it's an other ideal in the mix and there may be some merit for someone to take a stange further. Or it could be totally barking, but there must be a way of solving this rather than slowing down for right handers.
  18. That is a loverly job. Well done it truely is a beauty,
  19. Until you've tried the Ferodo DS2500 you will never understand how crap Porterfields and EBC Red,Green or Yellow stuff pads really are. Mintex 1155 compound are dam good to. Never tried Hawk but not heard anything posertive about them. Have tried all the others and would never go back to them. Idealy it would be Mintex 1155's for winter as they have the edge from cold and when wet and DS2500's for the rest of the year and DS3000's for track days
  20. So your saying that http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewms...&msg_id=1019112 doesn't work because the fresh air feed would simpley flow stait in and out of the inlet rockers and therefor not purge the system effectively? So would additional baffles on the outlet rocker breather pipes prevent the oil from flowing out while still allowing the gasses to flow. Then that is merely adding more baffles to clog. Or do you sugest Air feed to outlet rockers and PCV feed from inlet Rockers. I know this. After reading the above and driving round roundabouts and all left hand bends gentley yet still nailing it every where else. I went to Manchester and back Via A and B roads (140 miles) and didn't smoke once. Not even a slight haze. So I know the PCV outlet rocker feed is the culprit and now I need to fix it. The above looks good to me and worth a try unless someone has a better Idea.
  21. You Darling Paul i've been trying to find this artical. The problem with the catch tank is that the PCV system which returns the oil back to the plenum is it's a presurised system and presure leakage would screw you mixtures. So The other option is to remove and seal the PVC points and use the venting from the intake cam covers and a low presure vent cap on the catch tank. Still porential for probs though, but this is perfect.
  22. From a creaky memory which has added a 0 for impact, but yes your correct as I was just looking at the Falklands Enquiry, but the general theme of what i said is true.
  23. Ahh i've found my little problem. So no catch tank.
  24. I want to fit a catch tank and get rid of the PCV's all together.
