Resprayed my Side skirts last week. Used proper mixer aerosols and the finish is spot on. It's all down to prep and plenty of 1200 ans 1500 wet & dry between coats. I was only going to touch in round the vents and ended up doing the entire skirts.

Using the Chris P widged method to hand your battens to the walls to just bellow the RSJ and then put noggings across. You then nail the board to the battons and noggings. Then use board edgins to A keep it neat and tidy and B give that little extra strength. You can use a thin coat of bonding, then mesh tided into browning edgings. Then biuld up with bonding then skim over the top. This is the traditional way (my opinion the proper way) but these days everything is dot and dab, or batton, nogging and gripofix

Mesure the exact length of the steering rods to the hub carriers. Then remove the HICAS then bolt the Eliminator in its place. The rose ends of the tie bars goes into the eyes each end of the eliminator with the bolt through to hold in place. Now lock up the rose end with the locking nut. Then you have to attach the rod end from the hub to the other end of the tie bar and set to correct length. Once you've done this lock this end up with the other locking nut and reattach to the hub carrier. Job done. It's fiddley but gives you the added option of ajusting rear toe. I thought of having an opposed threaded ends and even discovered that they do make a reverse threaded Rose Rod end. That way you could ajust it without having to remove the Hub end every time.

Go on then I might even give my new little Red number a run out. ;)

You really need the Plenum off to replace the steel pipes. If they are so corroded I have to say check all the metal water pipes and bin the plenum/ thottle body preheater pipes while you got the plenum off (as Wing suggested). Then get ready for your heater matrix to go. I'd also get a Earthing kit which will help prevent such heavy corrosion of your water sysrem in future.
