  1. Phil your a sick man. They've made me feel yuk. Especially the guy with the horn in his leg. Thats going to tear. :hurl:
  2. Nice one. Who's going to do the work for you?
  3. Anyway what you been buying?
  4. Genuine Veilside are GRP. They are so well made that they fit perfectly without any modification and only need a lite key before painting. The GRP is so fine it is barely thicker than the steel pannels and it is really strong. I personally don't like veilside kits in general (though I modified one for my front bumper) as I don't think they have any relationship to the lines of the car, but people should express themselves in their own way. Thats what makes life interesting. + Sometime people apply things you don't like in such a way that it looks attractive. When that happens it is great because it fires idea's you just wouldn't have had before. If you like it buddy go for it.
  5. Whats that in english about £300 ish??? Those arms look like a real brown trouser moment.
  6. Actually have to confess I've never had a look at the one in the boot of Spare parts. So I had a peek and it is the same as yours, but the one in little red is as I first stated. Little Red is a 92/93 series 1.5 and spare parts is a 90/91 series 1. Maybe they changed em at a certain point or I've just got one from something else. Who did your car belong to before you. I seem to recognise it.
  7. You were bloody quick getting them buster. How much did they come in at with the salt and vinegar?
  8. Well both my SWB's don't have a space saver like that. It looks to me like a Mitsubishi GTO 17" space saver wheel with the fold up tyre. (IF it is it will clear your brembo's.) All SWB's have the fold up tyred version of space saver, but mine are solid same as the LWB but with foldy tyre.
  9. It really drives me insane. The nicking your stuff is bad enough, but the damage they do is what really gauls me. Some little turd has had a go at my drivers door and slightly buckled the door skin hence I'm of the Silk Petes in 2 week to get a complete door.
  10. I know it is really hard to see any of your children in pain because you think it is your job to protect them. You have to be strong for him so he can draw strength from you. I'm sure he'll bouns back. You'll be amazed at the speed he will recover, but the worst will proberbly come a week or so after the chemo. My thoughts are with you all. Where in Shropshire are you? If you like I could come down in a week or 2 and give Harry a run in either my little red or the blue monster if you think that would cheer him up. I'm near Elssemere.
  11. Heres the next sports car I'm having as a replacement for my blue Zed. It's proberbly going to be next year because of my Divorce etc but defo will happen
  12. Prior to this build I had spent £12K on a total disaster, but things like all the bushes having been done and HICAS removed stayed. So yes I think it was well worth it and well done, but my divorce may result in it parting company from me which will really hurt. Since the rebuild it has has Mike Smith manifolds and some odds and sods done.
  13. That is all labour, paint and some materials. I supplied the parts which in total with the Turbos was about £4.2K for engine and £2K for the clutch, prop, camber arms, oil coolers and diff.
  14. Again it all depends on your engineer. I supplied all the parts to Phil a C & S Wood and they did the works. Have a look at some of the engine build pics in my pages 5, 6 & 7 of my Photobucket. He had the block reboared and all flashing removed from water jackets, Stripped the heads and had them machined, Enameled the engine and rebuilt it all included in the £1500 price. With a load of extras I had him do. My total bill was still under £2000 and it only took two and a half weeks from delivering the car and parts to drivng it away. Might be worth thinking about a trip up to Manchester.
  15. I'm pretty sure a 0.5mm rebore will cost the same as a 1mm rebore. You really need a good engineer who will match each piston to a cylinder. I'd also advise getting the heads sorted ie lifters checked over and any that arn'y up to muster replaced. Valve stems and guideds checked, because freashing up your engine will magnify any weeknesses in the heads. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=3122 As for displacement. the 89mm pistons make it almost 3.1
  16. I don't see there being a great deal of power difference. Just a but more torquey. I took a chance because I've been told that I should have had the block tested before I went 2mm bigger bore as it can some times cause the block to crack if there are any casting flaws. Touche wood quickly
  17. I have Wesco pistons and they have done 7000 miles and no problems. The torque is a massive jump up from standard and My original engine was within compression spec. I did go up to 89mm though. I was only going to go 88mm, but Mitch only had 89mm in and i took the chance. I also have Standard OEM head gaskets. I did a lot of research before I decided on the present build as I believed I'd had had a disaster with the previous engine build.Turned out to have been a disaster with the people that were suposed to install it, but thats another story. So as my intension was to run about 450/500ish RWHP I decided that OEM was good enough. I also went for big GT2871RS turbos, but have no intention of ever using them to there full potential. However I built the rest of the engine to cope should I loose my mind again and go for a 300degree rail and 850injectors, but then I'd get some heavly worked heads and comtecs. Se rides link in sig.
  18. Many congrats Diane err I think ? :slap:
  19. I'd also buy a new slave cylinder as they are prone to failing after a yar or 2 of use then getting flushed with new fuid. You also missing the Vacum tanks that sit in the O/S wing. If you can't get any then PM Chris C and he'll tell you hoe to make a coil chamber that will do the same job.
  20. No Andy I said who are they like now who do they look like. I think Wozzer has his voice and mannerisums.
  21. Thats true but i like the bends an generally judge a car on the way it performs that task.+ to me they just have that 1980's American syling that i don't like, but if it floats you boat. I love my Volvo T5's and they aren't to everyones cup of T, but IMO they'd p1ss all over the Soarer on the mountain roads and still drive like a limo when you want. It's all horses for corses.
  22. I've only just seen this fella and just thought I'd let you know that my heart goes out to you and my best wishes for everything to go well. I had a similar experience when my eldest son was 4. we'd noticed that he held his head to one side all the time and then found a lump in his neck. We took him to the doctors and they made an appointment at the hospital. The Doc said its nothing to worry about anf that he believed it was fiberious tissue in a group of nerve endings. The hospital examined him and then took a biopsy. When the Word Malignant tumour came out of the doctors mouth my insides turned cold and I'm sure I didn't breath for an hour. My wife just fell apart it was truly awefull. We had to get ourselves together not to frighten him. The worst time of my life and reading this has brought it all back and I deeply symperthise with you and understand how you must feel. Fingers crossed it will turn out fine as it did for us. He's now a big smelly 19 year old. He's run for shropshire, played rugby for Shropshire, Whitchurch and Mold. He can be a real pain in the arse, but he is fine and well and we love him so I pray that all go well for you.
  23. Get well Soon Harry all the best Mark
