Stuck in bed with "Man Flu"
He was round at Mac 1's place one night and logged on to the forum on Ians computer. Anyway Chris suggested going out to get Pizzas and Ian tells him what he wants and of Chris goes to get it. Mean while ian notices that Chris is longed in and sits down and types up the famous "There's something been troubling me for a long time and i've got to get it off my chest" Thread. For days unknown to Chris C people were posting up saying well at least you've got the guts to come out, You carn't choose if your gay or not mate, No problem mate just don't stand behind me etc. Hence he gets the stick That and the fact he's a raving puffter

HELP! red watter all over the garage floor!!
Its long life anti Freeze for cars with Iron Blocks and Ally heads. It stops the chemical reaction of the iron and ally which allows an electrical ciruit to form in the water system and corrodes all the steel and rubber water pipes and destroys the heater matrix. Oh dear !!! what coolant are you using

Proper colour for a Ferrari
Yep traditionally Ferrari are Yellow and the Red came because Ferrari took over the Alfa racing team who raced in Red. Well thats the Folk Law that I was told and it sound right with what I can find out.

Z decleared total loss?
Good Solicitor mate Free consultation and at most £100 for a letter. Make sure he's a good one not some arse wipe. Don't let em touch it. you can ask em who's car it is thats a good start. + insurance engineers are cocky arogant second rate nobs who think there gods, but once a solicitor points out who works for whom they become very helpful indeed.

Z decleared total loss?
Remember the car belongs to you not the insurance company and they cannot just do as the like even though they will if you let em Firstly you insist that nothing is to be done with, or removed from, your car until the mater is settled to your satisfaction. You insist that you know of its where abouts etc. If you can afford get a Solicitor to write it This should ensure that the savage company do not strip it. Or if they do you can sue the insurance company and get the police to charge the savage company with theft. It is your Car and buy law if you have fully comprehensive insurance (dependant on the small print as to replace or repair) you have the right to insist on it being repaired. No on e can do with or dispose of your car until you agree to settle (in effect sell) to/with the insurance company. I insisted on mine being repared ( :smash: what a nob I should have taken the money   ) They will tell you that it is not viable to be repared (note they will not tell you it is beyond repare) providing that in the small print they do not use a term relating to none repare on a vaibility basis then they must repare if you insist or make you an offer. You gotta haggle until you get what you want. Either fixed or a lump sum you see as reasonable and the car at a silly buy back figure. A friend of mine runs a small recovery firm. The were told by the insurance company who instructed them to collect a car from an accident, to take it strait to a breakers yard. The car was mint and had expensive wheels newly retrim leather interior and rebuilt engine gearbox etc. Purely on the basis that the car was 20+ year old they decided it was scrap. The work had all been declared to the insursnce company, but when the lad eventually got there the body shell was all that was left. He hadn't agreed anything with the insurer and they were offering him £800 even though he had £20k of bills and done most of the work himself. after 12 months they paid him £23k + legal cost. Its your car till you agree other wise.

Air con problems.
How would you know you used yours for extra balast in the boot. You have to ensure that the sensors are connected even if the pipes are missing for any reason and you just tuck them out of the way. If they are disconnected and cannot read the temp they will run the the system at hot all the time. There are 2 sensors one in the top hose and one in the bottom. If its Ok on screen then its the bottom one thats missing or unplugged. check both anyway. If however this does not resolve it then it could be the control arms on the climate control deflector plate. ie it's not closing the heating bit shut. These often get disconneted during heater matrix replacement and sometime reinstalled incorrectly. If this is the case you will have to remove all the radio and centre pannel to check. I'm affraid if it is this its dash out time to reconnect. Before you go to that level check the climate control ECU is OK as above. May need disconnecting for and hour to reset. Hope its just the sensors cos the dash out is a full day and a real bitch. P.S. you could always do what Chris did and call J the Gun :slap: :nono:

Correct Oil Temp for TT
Got no Viscous fan, Got big rad, Got new thermostat etc. I re installed The air con for creature comforts and it seemed to upset the ballance. So we've had a dabble and relocated a load of stuff and seem to be on top of it. After several hours of finding new homes for Dump valves, Aircon regulator Valve and new oil cooler arangement she seems fine. Even when I got stuck in traffic for 2 1/4 hours in Manchester. Oil did ocasionally tip the 92 degree mark, but water stayed around 80 to 84. So I think we've nailed her. + Ten minutes of real serious redline pain and she stayed within the above. Though I'm going to make some ally ducting to get a smooth air flow. I recon that will be worth 5+ degrees.

Correct Oil Temp for TT
I have Greddy Gauges and best part of £30K worth of stuff in this car so I really need to know what the standard temp operation figures are so I can get on top of this before I thrape the living daylights out of her. So that my investment doesn't end up a steaming mess again.

Correct Oil Temp for TT
I'm a bit miffed at the moment as I not sure what my oil temp should be at. It seems to sit at around 85'C but if I give her some serious boot will climb to about 110'c unless I back off. The result is that water Temp will go into high 90's. The car is running a little rich at the moment, but JD said he'd map her properly on the rolling road soon, but I want the temp thing right before I sit her on a rolling road reving her tits off. Help??
