  1. I had something similar a year ago , engine check light kept coming on and got code 55 when checking. Consulted Jeff at Zedworld and sent him the ECU to test on an emulator for free. It worked fine and showed no errors but as soon as it got hot it went wobbley! Replaced ECU and happy Z again. I had an Impul one which failed and have replaced it with a Blitz one- no bother since.
  2. cheers, the hose with clamp missing is lower down than the pump ( what I beleive is the pump anyway) so may explain the leak. But the rsuty pipes I think are attached to one of the oil coolers at the front. The rusty pipes may have nothing to do with Power steering on closer look but defo power sterring fluid leak and fluid is also higher up on the rusty pipes - well all over the pace really!
  3. Thanks guys, now removed and the link now works after i got it off !
  4. justr about to start this and the links to the 'how to' are not working. Any help appreciated, in the meantime i'll crack on with the obvious nuts and bolts
  5. when do I get my privileges restored ?
  6. I have two black ones and used ot have red one. Black is my first choice but if I was to have another colour it would be white. The Z is one of the few cars I think white actually works for.

  12. sadly no one ever asks questions. alarms go off all the time and people just think its an annoying noise. I once ended up taking half the interior out a car in a car park on a busy friday night to change a steering column so i could drive it home- parts everywhere and nobody even came over - not even two coppers on the beat! I was utterly amazed but having had 3 cars stolen it no longer surprises me at all.
  13. good lord ! that has got me thinking best get it looked at ! Cheers for quick replies
  14. get a sort of knock / clunk noise when slowing and coming to a halt and when i go up slight kerb on to the drive. someone I had in the car said they felt a knock/vibration in the footwell ? Had front tension rod bushes done a few years back and had poly ones put in. Also running Tein suspension which is pretty firm. Could this be the Tensions rods ? or something else ?
  15. Have Teain monoflex on the car at the moment. Intend to use the car a bit more this summer now I've sold the 350z and find the Tein's a little to harsh. So need some suggestions / advice to keep it firm but a little softer and more country road friendly. Whats the standard set up spring rates? Options I guess are Eibachs and std shocks or new coilovers but softer spring rate. Anyone know std spring rates, Eibach rates, other coil over set ups?
  16. Anyone able to tell me how to remove the exterior targa centre trim?
  17. Curious to know if you Z fans are first timers and stuck with it or if you had one, went elsewhere like me and came back. I had TVR chimeara and lotus esprit in my 'in between years' but came back to the Z.
  18. .....in fairness probably is tyres, amazing how bad this problem gets as they start to go off.
  19. sound like a dodgy rear spoiler...must need a new one
