  1. Cheers Si, I'm hoping it's just a loose hose or worn hose. Had the rear steering locked out last year and most of the pipe work remains so with any luck it will be the a loose or worn hose. However there was bit of sound that suggested it may be coming out under pressure rather than a dribble.
  2. Got the Z out this morning and as soon as I started her up the PAS fluid start leaking. Not had a chance to look at it yet but appears to be coming form a central point under the car. Last thing I needed after the cam tensioner went on my lexus and has killed it! Just after some pointers on where to start looking for the leak. Can't say I am certain where the PAS pump actually is to check it. Cars!!! :cursing:
  3. Nice work. Did you make the diffuser form scratch or retro fit something?
  4. I approve of the smooth! Is that a Twinz rear diffuser on a standard bumper? Looking to put one on my and blend it in.
  5. Budget tyres are budget for a reason. I recall seeing a programme on this a while ago and while there is often no discernible difference in the dry in braking distance, the results in the wet were staggeringly different and quite alarming. It suggested there is no standard test required for performance in the wet ( not sure if this is correct or not). I put a set of budget tyres on my Z and it's fine in the dry and I don't use it in winter or the wet, but on the odd occasion I have got caught in the rain it's horrid to drive. However, they have been on the car 7 years ( you can see how little mileage my Z gets!) and are finally in need of changing. I wont be putting budget ones on again!
  6. Looking at yours seems there is quite a bit of room for me to play with. I have 8.5 front and 9.5 rear currently. Good idea with the cheap spacers, will give that a go but seems like I could away with 20mm front and 15mm rear to run +20 on front and +25 rear.
  7. Cheers Si, Arches are standard. I have 235 front and 265 rears currently with +32 front and +38 rear if memory serves me correctly and looks like this so I figure there is a little room to play with:
  8. looking at new rims that are the following size. Front 18x8.5 ET40 & Rear 18x9.5 ET45 (5x114.3) I want to know what size spacers I need to improve the stance a little. I am thinking 10mm front and 5mm rear. Also recommendations for the make of spacer please.
  9. Great thanks Si. May get my hands on some Twinz bits a little sooner...
  10. Anyone had any dealing with Twinchip in Switzerland?
  11. As above, must be in good condition and no etchings. Anything out there?
  12. Cheers Si, Thanks for the tip on the door runners. I have door glass already and a screen, though I may just a get a new one as it has a small crack when I removed it and I can only see it running. I want to delete the rear wiper, even more obselte than my front ones like yours! .There is bit of spray work to be done so I wonder if it may be simpler to get a replacement UK tailgate and start over. Just need to sort the quarter glass then.
  13. Is this possible and where would I get replacement glass from? I have mint condition tailgate with blended lip spoiler that is being ruined by my poor glass. Want to change all over to blue tint UK spec. What about replacement moulding?
  14. My new seat covers and interior trim panels are on their way to me at long last . Just wanted some tips from anyone who has re trimmed panels, fitted seat covers previously. What to look out for, best sort of glue, tools etc. Do I need a bit of scrim foam for good fit on seats etc etc.
  15. It's a fair weather second car so I've never used the rear demister! I would expect them survive to as it came off much easier than having to scrape with a blade that I suspect would do more damage to bars.
  16. I used Nitromors to get mine off ! It had baked on and was not coming off with white spirit or similar solvents even on a very hot day when the windows were nice and warm. I didn't have the patience to sit there and scrape mm at a time with a Stanley blade either. A good coat of the Nitromors and it comes off easily. Obviously make sure you cover everything in the vicinity before you start to avoid any collateral damage!
  17. Sent by bank transfer. Thanks
  18. Can I have my privileges back now please? :shifty: Couldn't remember if it was £20 or £10 so sent £20:blushing: - ref 'ANDYB subscription'
  19. Thank you all... The big 40 this year so I have treated the Z to a brand new interior from the nice people at leatherseats.com. Ordered last night :thumbup:
  20. Biased as we are, a few 'tasteful' mods and new paint job can really bring the great lines of the Z into a really modern look but I sometimes think the std rear bumper and a poor spoiler choice can date it and undo the rest of the work, which is why mine has had a butt lift  Though it's all a matter of opinion!
  21. how much hide do i need to do all the tweed panels? I 'm guessing a full hide ?
  22. Thanks, Just looking to improve performance for road use. Compared to my old 350Z with Brembos the stock 300zx ones are poor. Plus the stock discs look a little lost on 18/19 inch rims.
  23. Are the R33 GTST calipers bigger than the stock Z32 ones?
  24. Thank you! Those are what I had in mind but was uncertain about offsets.
