A zed birthday cake, lol, well kind of dont know what the misses thinks a zed looks like... the gaps are all wrong and needs some welding.. oh and in the 1st pic it had a spoiler but I wanted it de spoilered so Ive eaten it, shes gonna kick my arse. think the back lights look similar and the t bars.. heres a couple of pics no laughing. she tried lol.

sounds like a typical zed fault, where u need to be under the bugger why its doing it. hope u get it sorted,

Its worth checking mate, But id say more likely something on the engine side and when u dip the clutch revs drop and noise stops. can u get any noise from it when in neutral and car is not moving

Check your coil pack connectors, I had 1 with the clip broken and at higher rpm it would hold back, cause the misfire but once I slowed down the bugger would be ok again tiny dot of super glue was a good temporary fix.

arrggghhhh must read properly, so it could be something on the engine etc, cause your dipping the clutch on overrun and it stops. but still prop will spin constantly,

If when u dip the clutch it goes must be something on the clutch,, the prop will still be spinning so unlikely that. hope u get it sorted...

I have tools mate, u wont need to worry about that, Off the top of my head get rocker cover gaskets, decent sealant oil proof maybe buy from nissan or I know euro car parts sell one for vauxhall sumps etc. And the upper plenum gasket. Give me a call on 07450246567 if u need help. have u got aa/rac get them to recover u, u sure the oil caught it on fire, cant say for sure but have never seen an oil leak catch fire and seen some bad leaks.

Drive it to me sunday in kent im helping oobumblebeoo (anthony) refit his new engine. I'll help u, will be doing his car but can jump between the 2 cars if u get stuck. its only gonna cost u the fuel, was in worthing the other day met up with sussex stu. - - - Updated - - - 88miles each way not that bad though.

What this part... it holds the subframe on, 2 bolts in body and 1 bolt where the subframe slides on. if u need them probably got some spare u can have for free...

Hi mate, Not that great with these type stereos but it looks very similar to the stereo a golf had in our workshop the other week. a problem u may come across is a lot of the new cars have can bus wiring. the golf I worked on they wanted to replace both rear doors and they thought they had a result cause new doors have electric windows so have them too. but the door I think only had 2 wires coming into the car, but had central locking, electric windows and speakers running through the same 2 wires. Car has modules and sends pulses down the wires so not easy to wire stuff in.

Hi mate if u pm 300zedx I have an engine with tubs on it in a car outside my house. I think he wants to sell if that helps. u can hear it run etc. the shell I bought off him im keeping engine from that and his having engine out my old zed. im reshelling my car so the engine in the shell im keeping so dont have to take both engines out so quick.

Lol i ripped the plug off my grinder and through it up the back of the garage. arches on the new shell have been flared they looked pretty good but they wasnt what me and 300zedx thought they were there quite a lot of filler. Bro in law whos painting shell said the best way would be new arches. dont worry im not cutting it up. I really wanted jap arches it was so didnt have to do any work to my arches but if i get repair panels, should look good... i hope ...

Guys reshelling my car, My car is a 1989 manual tt, and the shell ive bought is a 1995 auto tt, Few bits im stuck with and not use to where they have changed things on the newer models. im doing an na rear end conversion, new car has electric hicas. It looks like the computer is in the boot, on the older car it was in the passanger footwell, u can unplug one connector on the hicas computer and it would loose the hicas light and keep your speed assisted steering. How would i go about it on the newer car, shall i just take the bulb out lol. I want to change the loom which goes right around the front of car for a manual loom so my manual gearbox plugs in without having to play with the wiring. will the older cars loom connect to the newer cars loom without problems. Its got the newer heater aircon but computer to control it all is missing can i use my older computer to control it. Anyone know any other bits i may run into trouble with between the 2 cars, Im trying to use the best bits from each car and has im going through im noticing differences all the time lol. Anyone know of all the differences between models. any help appreciated, Thank u.

Just a little seat, the weight of the car holds them tight, And when i have changed springs before u undo the shocks to get suspension down a little lower then push springs in and raise suspension to bolt shocks back on.

Think the rears are sperate on astra vans, estate if that helps. if the springs are small on the rear they could drop out while its jacked up. Or if u did a big jump lol...

I reckon when his jacked it up where the springs are smaller the shock dont hold them tight so they wobble about. some people drill an hole where the spring sits on the shock and put cable tie around it to stop spring dropping out. When the weight of the car is on it spring should sit ok. problem with lowering springs if there to small the shock could bottom out..

Cheers guys I'll have a look on ebay and on American sites. So anything over 500lbft will be ok. Im not gonna be going nuts with the power, want engine and tubs to last..

Hi guys, Rebuilding my engine, Got.. Gt2560r turbos, 88mm Weisco pistons, Eagle rods, 850 injectors, Need to upgrade the clutch/flywheel anyone know the best/cheapest place to buy them from. Not sure what type of power the car will make, so can't tell what kit will hold it lol. Any help appreciated,
