1. welcome along - clean-looking Z you have there
2. ^ agreed. in your face, rapist! :mac1:
3. don't worry mate it's not that bad - I did my first one this time last year and thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm by no means super-fit, and at the time I felt quite put off by some people on the internet saying you need to be able to do at least a half marathon to complete it. At the end of the day there's no time limit, all you need to do is put one foot in front of the other until you reach the finishing line. If anything work on your upper body strength; covering the run/jog/walk distances you can do at your own pace, but when faced with an obstacle to carry/lift/climb over having a bit of oomph will help you out. At the end of the day it is tremendous fun and a positive challenge, and there was a great atmosphere in the air all day. Go for it!
4. good work mate keep it up! other than a regular walk and a weekly body pump session at the gym i get little other exercise, although i'm currently increasing my exercise for a spartan 5k at the end of this month.
5. Great work Lee! The forum really is being brought up to date.
6. Well done Chris!! your Z will do the club proud!
7. nice meet there - well done guys! shame I couldn't make it - hopefully the next one :)
8. wow that's another name from the past - the first thing I thought of when you posted up was the indicators directly beneath the headlights - welcome back mate!
9. looks a clean example Dave, and welcome back!!
10. 3 or 4 minutes of normal driving and mine gets up to about 80oC. Deffo go for some sort of aftermarket gauge if you can though, the stock ones don't tell you shite.
11. About time Al! Good luck with it mate I wish you every success with it.
12. I started with MyIE, which became Maxthon, but it became too slow and buggy. Then I went to Firefox for a while, until it seemed to slow down as well. I've been using Chrome ever since and so far it's been the best one :)
13. Interestingly while tuning my car Noel reckoned that the boost controller itself may be faulty. It's still often doing this 'scattering' even now. I wonder whether there's a mechanical fault (e.g. with the solenoid) or a fault with the electronic unit. Or perhaps the cabling from one to t'other. I know there was a problem a couple of years or so ago with the cabling having got too close to something hot in the engine bay and melting in half; one end was dragging along the road, causing some interesting readings on the E-01 screen when it went through a puddle. Jeff fixed it a while ago but I wonder if over time it's having an effect again. Wouldn't things be a lot easier if engines were transparent...
14. just what I was thinking mate!
15. Mine's a G too. There's a post with some crappy pics and vids of the cracking Ferrybridge meet in my journal >> here .
16. gorgeous motor!!
17. A mate has spotted these two beauties - any idea whose they are? I thought the red one might be Luke's...
18. I've been with Sky for 4 or 5 years now. No complaints really - I always take the day off work just to ring around and try to drive my insurance down and Sky usually try to match my best quote. They even reduced it by a tenner this year without even trying!
19. Always worth digging up this clip from a few series ago - the Aston Martin DBR9 race car being taken for a power lap by the 'Ben Collins' Stig. What an absolute beast, and that noise...!!
20. aye I remember Ya5een - decent chap
21. Did you find out what the problem was mate as I just found out this afternoon that I have the same symptoms - control pod beeps and the little lights come on - when I select between Auto and Windscreen I can hear the ducts moving to redirect, but no blowing at all.
22. Sounds like a great day - and it's about time some 300's started appearing in the top tens. Well done!
