Asda voucher scam....
I know it's easy to say this but what on earth are people thinking when they think big companies (or anyone for that matter) just gives stuff away for no apparent reason. It always makes me cringe when my Facebook friends comment on or share statuses/pages that say 'share this and get a free PS4' or 'like this and get entered into a draw for £100', or 'we've got 100 XBox Ones with opened packaging so we can't sell them, so we're giving them away!'. Really?

RIP Nelson Mandela
One of the few voices of reason and sanity left in this world. Rest in Peace sir.

What's next
Anyway back on-thread, as mentioned already if you're thinking about breaking the modifying guns out then make sure yourself or a garage you trust gives the car a good check-over mechanically first. If you want big power then there are people on here who can advise (and carry out the work), and it would be cheaper to do in one go, whereas conversely there are people like myself who have had the car modified gradually over the course of years and perhaps not followed a particular upgrade path.

'Heavy' steering
Has that fixed your power steering issue as well? I've had a similar issue for a while whereby the speedo will bounce between the correct speed and zero, the odometer will stop working (while the speedo is at rest) and the power steering is intermittent. Funnily enough this issue only occurs when there's been lots of rain (e.g. over the past couple of months) and while we had the dry spell it didn't happen at all.

Silicone Dehumidifier Bags?
well the old girl's all tucked up for the winter - I got two of those Halfords ones and put one in the front and one in the rear. time to start saving up for a couple of projects next year. :)

Silicone Dehumidifier Bags?
ok thanks for the feedback guys - I'll probably buy a couple of those Halfords ones being only a fiver each.

Having a cheeky nose in...
Welcome to the club mate - that 350 looks lovely!!

Zed time bomb!
ahhhaahaa what a load of misinformed crap!! all cars no matter what they are will have problems, especially due to age, but saying 'my mate had one and something went wrong' doesn't mean they're all like that! quite fun to read actually.

Silicone Dehumidifier Bags?
Does anyone use these? I just popped over to Halfrauds to get a couple but was told they don't sell them. I suspect the likes of B&Q will sell something similar albeit not necessarily suitable for vehicles.

Tucking the old girl up for winter
I've decided to put mine to bed tomorrow on my day off. She really doesn't like the rain (leaky targas and a couple of electrical problems) and it takes ages to demist the windscreen (don't even bother about the boot!). So I'm getting a couple of dehumidifier bags to put in the car, dry it as much as I can, and cover it up.

Happy birthday

Aftermarket Water Temp Gauge Sender - Fix.
in that case, good work sir!

Aftermarket Water Temp Gauge Sender - Fix.
are you absolutely sure you know what the genuine running temp of your engine is mate? turning up the radio to hide a rattle is one thing but recalibrating a gauge to hide what could be quite a warm engine is another!

so who is getting a ps4 on launch day?
My PC is still fairly powerful so I won't be tempted to go for a PS4 for a while. Gran Turismo 7 is the game that'll tempt me!

How is the weather / high winds where you are now?
Here in Leicester we got a fair bit of rain but not much wind. Glad I didn't take the Z to work today due to a couple of the roads being quite flooded in places.

A trip to Belgium and I'm now fully in love with my Z!!
Thanks for sharing that Dave - a great read and great photos!
