the guy selling those damn watches doesnt have much business sense. if you were to put them on one at a time, (gay) people would bid up and up on it until it reaches its peak at about, oohh, £1.10. instead he floods about ten of them on and they go for 10p each (way overpriced)

hi just got an apexi super-afc2 fitted at thor last week. after a rolling-road tune (which scared the bejeesus out of me as i thought either the engine would explode or the shop roof would fall on me!) it gained about 10bhp but the guy said the fuelling was good before anyway so there werent much gains to be had (and ZERO detting ;) ) i bought it really to try and correct my slight stall problem after my bovs were installed but it hasnt :mad: :cry: . it DOES look good on the dash tho. im posting piccies up in another thread shortly.

this week i spent 250 at thor, 150 on wheel and boss, 180 on blitz controller, 50 on fuel :cry: :cry: :cry: ( :hyper: )

hope its ok to chip in here guys - i got a 2nd key from a GB with Courtesy a while ago and only just got round to getting it cut. I took it to one guy (a key cutter/leathermaker/dry cleaner/mafia-type guy) who could only cut one side cos of the shape of the key wouldnt fit in his machine!? Fine, he didnt charge me at least. So i took it to a propor locksmith who furrowed his brow over it a while and said that the two keys were different - the thick line along the shaft of the key was thicker on my new one (black key) than on my original (the red valet key). Hoewever he tried it anyway and said well i hope its ok - i wont charge you for it. Lo and behold it worked fine!

TBH Steve ive not really had a chance to try out all 'scenarios' if you know what i mean, but basically i set the counter for 20 secs, leave the car and remote lock it. unit continues to idle then cut out ok. alarm doesnt sound, immobiliser light goes red ok (maybe i should try leaving the timer for 2/3 mins and see if that might cause a problem). A cool function of this unit (other makes may have it as well) is that should you try to drive away while the unit is counting down - take off the handbrake and the engine cuts out straight away :cool: I'll have a crack at leaving the timer on longer today if i remember.

Neither Steve AFAIK. The 606 had been in the car since it arrived in the UK, and the timer went in about a month ago. Seem to work fine with eachother (wasnt me that fitted either of them unfortunately)

Just spent a fantastic 5 hours at thor this afternoon to have some bits fitted and a dyno-tune. Just look at the atrocious weather conditions i had to suffer ;) Many thanks to the guys at Thor for their friendly and knowledgable service (and for being patient when i couldnt find the damn place :rolleyes: )

Good question mate and one which worried me when i had my turbo timer fitted. At least be informed that an ApexI timer works with an Ai606 ;)

i was in manchester a while ago waiting at some lights when the car got surrounded by teenage schoolkids. luckily (and damn right too) they didnt touch the car, just wow'd and asked me what it was. i floored the gas in neutral and they nearly fled! :rofl: bless 'em t'was cool tho

Cant make this one unfortunately but the good news is that i got the job that i applied for a couple of weeks ago :hyper: and that means im finally off night shift!!!! hopefully make the next meet tho ;)

Yeah, the Evo 6 Makinen edition is the most aggressive car you can get :hyper: Its a shame that it loses its shape as you go from 6 to 7 to 8 into something that looks like a mondeo :x:

looks good mate. i couldnt make the 4th unfortunately due to work commitments but im down there on the 8th to get my rsm, super-afc2, boost gauge and a tune-up (plus fingers crossed a blitz boost controller) brUMMMMmm

yeah i was there too yesterday bud - flying through the countryside with the targas off and the sun beating down etc. dumping the bovs every time i passed an mr2 or fto ;) also scared half of oakham as i drove through the centre of town. like you say bob its days like this that make the whole lot worth it!!!
