  1. absolutely first class victory for Button - i knew that if he put enough pressure on Webber and Vettel they'd both crack! :D
  2. lol!!! i bet he had a sore head the following morning for more reasons than one!!
  3. the buggers that stole that have got some balls! i bet a lot of work (and £ in parts) has gone into that. if it's a PR stunt (which in a way i kind of hope it is) then it's not in very good taste as people will be making an effort to look out for it.
  4. yeah all the Z31s were single turbo. ours were either both or neither.
  5. that can't be right can it? Only 840 Z31s and Z32s left in the UK? Sheesh perhaps they're rarer than I thought. @HollowPoint - add about 200 manual conversions that haven't been declared on the logbook! :D
  6. that is stunning work mate!!! i bet the kids love that!
  7. Happy Birthday Vinz!!
  8. Welcome to the club! Hope you get your engine sorted out.
  9. welcome to the club Lee. in terms of insurance, some common ones to try for jap cars are Adrian Flux, A-Plan, Sky, Carole Nash, plus others that might get a mention below. the Z is a classic car so you may be able to pick up classic insurance if you class it as a 2nd car.
  10. such a shame - great hp figure  . RIP. perhaps the engine was only rated for 580.6bhp!
  11. looks great on and in black!
  12. welcome to the club and congratulations on a very sought-after Z!!
  13. wow that sure made me stop and think for a bit. you did a great thing by stopping and helping, and you made sure that the guy didn't die alone. even though he was passing away I bet he knew he wasn't alone. I hope you take something positive away from what happened mate cos you sure did a good thing.
  14. I've run with an underdrive crank pulley for a couple of years and not noticed any problem - I have a Koyo rad installed so perhaps that helps...
  15. this one's quite good as well
  16. congratulations Janus!!
  17. congratulations Jamie, Clare and Oliver!!!!
  18. I hit a mere 138 on the 2 mile straight at Bruntingthorpe proving grounds for the J-Tuner magazine shoot a few years ago. Still had plenty to go before I ran out of track but I don't think the map was very good for 5th gear, plus the fact my clutch was screwed and I had to keep lifting off in the first two gears just to get traction between the clutch and flywheel!!
  19. ouch that sounds nasty!!
  20. sorry to read this mate - I hope you get it sorted one way or the other
  21. welcome to the club!
  22. did you not register it with http://www.me.com - if it is still switched on then you can track where it is, lock it or send a message and loud noise to it saying "hand me back now or I'll hunt you down with bears!"
  23. Ive been running with a Koyo rad, Nismo rad cap and a dry expansion tank for ages without problems. if I fill the rad right to the top (almost) then check it after a couple of days' driving, it will have settled down to about 10cm from the top (clay-colour just visible through neck of rad) - it has stayed at that level without top-up for months so I assume I have a cracked expansion tank also and that the level has settled down enough so that it never needs to overflow under pressure
  24. the smell of petrol and burnt-off oil might make you feel a bit light-headed!
  25. thanks folks!! time for a few :pint::pint:
