  1. welcome to the club matey - get some photos up!
  2. I was sad to hear this - he was a great host on Blockbusters and really made the show fun to watch. In fact I only watched an episode of it last night from Challenge channel and thinking to myself whether he was still with us. RIP Bob. :(
  3. ouch, sorry to hear and see that mate. really glad you made it out without a scratch!
  4. During my 'boy racer' years I owned a burgundy Cavalier GSi2000 with a Walker exhaust, K&N 57i intake, 15' Team Dynamics alloys, and a few other bits. She was a beauty, but I remember wanting a turbocharged car more and more. I didn't want an RS Turbo, could no way afford a Cossie, not even a knackered old Sapphire, didn't want a Renault 5 GTT, so I thought I had to go Japanese, which I knew nothing about, other than some cars called Skylines which were awesome. I was looking at 200SXs and thought they were quite nice for the money (about £6k at the time), then I remember seeing, for the same money, I could have a 3.0 Twin Turbo, 24V V6! There were no pictures of these amazing cars on the dealership site I was looking at (this was 10 years ago) and I remember seeing my first one and thinking 'that looks horrible!' I think the flatter bonnet and headlights, and the coupe look kind of took me by surprise. But it grew on me, and the greedy part of me wanted the BHP. I took out a £6k loan, chose a dealership in Derby that specialised in Jap imports and who had 3 Zs in at the time, drove over there and wandered around the forecourt. There was a red GTO there (I didn't like all the lego stuck to it ;) ), there was a sexy black R32GTT for £3.5k which I almost would have had, had it not been for a massive crack in the centre console. There was a red MR2, an older-style Corolla GT4 (I didn't like the Subaru-style bonnet intake), and three ivory white Z's in a row. After sitting in the Skyline and experiencing the relatively plain interior, the cockpit style of the Zs settled it for me. In the end I chose the most expensive one, got the dealer to paint the front bumper's lower lip white (it was black at the time), and install a Cat 1 alarm. That was it - me sorted, with a doubling of my previous car insurance.
  5. ^ no that's just what the insides of his cylinders look like!

  11. congratulations - great to have our old friends back on board!!
  12. agreed - if it's a Jap import then upgrade to the larger UK radiator!
  13. interesting concept - don't forget that the brakes and intercoolers would benefit more from foglight air ducts than the intake
  14. I think the JWTs are a fairly popular upgrade for the Z. I spent a lot of time considering the JWT500 or 530. ...but whichever turbo you choose I'd have both a new EPROM and larger turbos!
  15. Happy Birthday bud!!
  16. you probably ache from working out mate!
  17. It's an R32 - you can tell by the line around the rear lights.
