  1. Did you have the air con on at the time as that can up the temperature by something like 10 degrees, you are looking for about 85 degrees ideally. The thermostat should open at about 76 degrees, most that I have seen fail when closed and cause the engine to overheat, shame they are such a pain to replace or I would suggest that first.
  2. cover systems tel 01933-410851 a few people on here including myself have used this companies covers, was a while ago so you may need to ring and ask if they are still available, they were custom made for standard or high level spoilers I believe.
  3. I probably would, many years ago I had an R5 turbo, it was the most unreliable car I have ever owned but when it was going it was one of those cars you cant help thrashing, hence it broke so much I guess, also had a thrash about in a Clio Williams which I enjoyed so yes, if one turned up at the right price I would, I could even put a FF style spoiler on the back join the owners club and get slagged off for being a chav
  4. Usually seen as the cheap alternative, to do it properly you need to cut the cats open, seen a few people take them off, ram a pipe through and say its decatted which is not really going to give the best results, and also the pipes are designed to give best results as cats. People like PHNW had there pipes developed on a dyno for optimum results so IMO thats the best way to go.
  5. I was a bit late leaving so had a 120 mph rush down there but hopefully got away with it as I think I know where all the cameras are   and took a leisurely drive back home, air con on all the way there and back and the car didnt miss a beat once. Would like to know who owns the White Zed that tried a bit of drifting on the roundabout outside JAE, hope you got home ok as you seemed to be in very high spirits as you drove away and there was a few police on my route out of Peterboro.
  6. Are you checking the autobox oil level with the engine running? these symptoms have been talked about a lot recently and main culprit seems to be rear crank oil seals.

  17. no, they went like hot cakes, I would be tempted to buy 10 more if I had time to sell them, he gives a good deal if you buy in multiples.
  18. I had a few, they were made by the same company that made the origional ones for Nissan.
  19. Dont usually lock my car with the key but tried to last night and found the drives lock jammed solid and passenger one really stiff, taken a look inside today and everything is still attached as it should be, had a good spray around with WD40, all the nylon joints seem to be fine. Car locks up fine via remote, and if sat in the car it locks from the interior switch, just not from the door lock, any ideas as its hard to see properly inside the doors. Cheers guys and gals :duffer: :duffer:
  20. I think CRAIGV8TT is an alias and is on a wind up
  21. I have to back up what everyone else has been saying, I have a Clifford alarm and it has not played me up at all in the 3 years since it was fitted, but I made sure I found someone that was a competent fitter and they had the car 2 days to do the job properly.
