  3. Right now is a good time to buy, chunk, peach and James300 are top quality and sought after models that wont come up for sale very often. The minimum you should be spending is 3.5k imo.

It was so nearly me that bought that Lotus, funny how another member on here bought it instead :D well done with buying it and hope you enjoy Lotus ownership.
  5. I would stop driving the car mate, it may cause the head gasket to go and you dont want that to happen :nono: very expensive.
  6. The second set look very similar to a set that were on ebay 3 or 4 months ago which turned out to be for an NA, I have asked the seller to try and clarify if they are the ones but not heard anything yet, just wanted to warn anyone considering bidding to check first.
  7. Anyone ???? someone out there must have had the rear screen out for a respray .. did you have the same problem upon refitting or is this just a freak of nature ???
  8. Cheers mate, I take it what you are saying is the trim was stretched when removed and was then cut down when refitted which then went back to normal size hence the gap, trouble is the replacement one has the same gaps and has not been cut at all which is why I think I am either missing a clip or something or they are correct and it shrinks.
  9. I am though, the car is stuck in the corner of their workshop minus a rear screen till I either buy a new Nissan one or someone points out an obvious bit is missing, the old one fitted fine till it was removed so I am guessing they are correct and it does shrink ..... Nissan only want £200 for the new trim
  10. When I had my rear screen removed and refitted the trim no longer fitted properly as in these photos .... I have recently sourced a good used replacement and it is the same, with a gap at both ends and the company doing it think the seal shrinks and I need to buy a new one, has anyone else had the same problem or are we missing something obvious and not realising it as I have never heard of this problem before, any suggestions gratefully recieved, Richard.
  11. Not sure if its against Uk regs to have them like that but I know of people that have got through MOTs with them like it.
  12. There is usually a converter behind the speedo to change from km to miles, it has been known for a few to play up, best way to check it is disconnect and see if you still have a problem.
  13. If the car is an import then it could be the converter playing up, a lot cheaper fix than the speed sensor.
  14. I believe some are wired up to do that to aid vision as you go round the corner you are indicating for. If its a Jspec they are front fogs. Only the round one comes on with dipped beam, rectangular one on main beam.
  15. Should imagine its easier to remove the alternator, its on the drivers side, fairly simple task just awkward due to laying on your back . Full details here.
  16. No, but it should be wrong to dig up three year old threads ... :p
  17. So sad to hear this, my thoughts are with his friends and family.
  18. Good luck Dave, I still get guilt pangs from jumping on the last one that came up for sale, ;) top man Sean for posting this up.
  19. There is obviously no real crime in Brighton then

  22. That looks very similar to a car I nearly bought a month or two ago, mind if I ask what part of the country you got it from? Lovely looking vehicle.....
  23. Never been there, are they ok with people racing up and down their airstrip? I am working Tuesday to Saturday but should be able to make any other day.
  24.   I didnt know that ..... fancy a head to head on a track some time, see how they compare.
  25. How did you get on with the main dealer fiasco? hope they were fair with you in the end.
