  1. Hi Steve, I drilled a hole then used a small hacksaw blade to cut the hole just inside where I wanted the vents, then used a dremel to get the exact size, be prepared to get covered in white dust tho :D I guess a face mask would be suggested by the proffesionals, I then put some mesh in the vents held on with glass fibre inside, personally I was never happy with the fit of the one I bought off ebay so went for one from Zcentre which is a lot better.
  2. mmmmmmmm, 2strokes, im from the LC generation, keep meaning to find myself another one and do her up, never owned a VFR400 myself, remember hearing one a while ago and thinking it sounded gorgeous, followed a few over the years and they are a capable piece of kit in the right hands.
  3. When I spoke to MJS htey said they send them somewhere, still if you got someone in Essex that sounds hopeful.
  4. Could be but the oil and noise dont sound good mate, did you try and contact MJS?
  5. They are all good but personally always fancied a 996
  6. What are the symptoms of your box failing mate? a fast road box has got to be the best option if you have the money. To replace is going to cost a bit so makes sense to go for it big time.
  7. I take mine to MJS mate, they have worked on a few Jap sports cars, have been about a few years now and have a good reputation, they are at the bottom of Landseer Road.
  8. Haha, its started viniboy, these cars make you spend money on them like it grows on trees, like a classy woman they need lavish gifts all the time, you will soon have 10 credit cards like the rest of us. :D :D

  10. Mine went into the body shop for 2-3 weeks, that was 8 weeks ago. :headvswal :headvswal Hope you have better luck than me mate, sounds like she will look sweet when you get her back.
  11. I think this is done by changing a resistor, the problems people have is when they use a converter to change from kph to mph and it is wired incorrectly so this shouldnt be a problem, a good tv repair shop might be able to do it for you if you tell them what you want done and take the clocks out and refit them yourself.
  12. This post made me so saaaaad, i want my Zed back, been 8 weeks now    its the simple things like taking her to work and polishing her for 8 hours I miss, now I get so bored I have actually been seen working
  13. Dave the car is getting there, we went to refit the hatch glass and it shattered as we picked it up so thats put us behind but the spoiler looks awesome, will get some pics up asap.
  14. This is what I was busy doing last night till midnight, more complaints as I made the house smell of paint, these women should smell it when they paint their nails. :p
  15. The owner has had it 5 years and is the only owner in the UK, he says its always been like that so maybe the owner in Japan ragged it, the bloke selling it is my age (read old git) and seems genuine.
  16. Just a shame to see a car like that sat there and then some Gary boy snap it up and ruin it. Think I will drive the wife round there and show her.
  17. Hmmmm, wonder how much trouble I will be in with the wife, seems too good to miss though as I should get it for about £2.5k, its been sat outside his house for months and will slowly go to ruin if its not snapped up by the right person.
  18. Hi all, been to look at a SWB manual this morning, seems basically a good car except the gearchange, with it in gear and going along it almost felt like it was in neutral as you could wobble the gear stick about, is this just a couple of bushes or something more difficult? could be buying another Zed if this aint too big an issue, this time its BLACK

Have to agree here, to do that in those conditions is something else, anyone planning on going to Donnington for the UK round?
  20. Do it, you wont regret it, Summers here :nana2: :nana2: :hyper: :hyper:
  21. Nooooooo, just been to the bodyshop and found out that the hatch glass shattered when they removed it so its going to be even longer before I get her back. :headvswal :headvswal
  22. You will need to weld up the holes left by the old spoiler if you want to be sure that the job will last as the filler can pop out from the boot being shut, I just did mine and it was a nightmare just getting the old spoiler off, maybe I was just unlucky though. Here is a couple of pics.
  23. Wish it was mine but after 6 weeks in the bodyshop she still looks like this, or maybe they finished it and just aint told me so they can do some joy riding.
  24. Ive had 2 cut at a local keycutters without problem although I did warn them first what they were made of, ideally though, get them cut by Nissan via the code on the barrel to ensure a perfect fit.
