  3. Does anyone have contact details for Zevans? I paid for something 3 months ago and it looks like he's not been on here since March. Cheers Dave
  4. Do any of them speak Welsh :D
  5. I reckon Ronin because it all looks faster due to the better handling of European cars and better camera/editing work. The 406's engine sounds shite though . I noticed that the Citroen ZX cop car changes from a late model to an early one half way through the crash (different grille), must have taken a few shots to get it right though LOL!
  6. How did they get away with it when British car manufacturers sank like the Titanic.
  7. You'll probably find there's an illegal 'alien' living in it :D
  8. Cheeky b@stard, bet the fookin car was a 'knocker' too :xxx: I'd be out of Britain like sh1t through a goose if I had the chance. This place has really had it's day.
  9. Shame they didn't admit them to the Psychiatric Ward :xxx: :xxx:
  10. Fair play, the police earned their money today. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5042724.stm
  11. I'm having trouble contacting Zevans too. Any chance someone could e-mail this to him? "Hi Mate, any chance you could send me that scuttle panel? I paid on the 17th of March. If it's off the car, I'll even collect it! Cheers Dave" Thanks Dave
  12. Looks like it was done with a sawn-off. I WOULD be inside now if that were my missus.
  13. PSML
  14. Saw this on the way to WTC site, only just noticed that I also got a picture of a British Airways Concorde in the background too
  15. The only things I've had to fix are the silly faults which were on the car when I bought it such as MAF, Det sensor, fan shroud broken etc. I've just fitted a new timing belt, idlers, tensioners, water pump etc. This is the most I've spent on preventative maintenance but upgrades are a different kettle of fish.
  16. You need this jacket Vinz:-
  17. Thanks guys, cheers John. still not out of the woods yet, US customs terminology is confusing to say the least! Well done Shaun, see you soon.
  18. Found out today that Top Gear is shown here in the US too, the guys who told me prefer it and said that all the American Hot Rod etc. etc. shows were p1ss boring by comparison LOL!
  19. Just thought I'd say hello to everyone while I'm over here. Bought this on e-bay so I'm getting it shipped over to Liverpool from New Jersey Port, it's a 69. Looks like I'm gonna have to part with the Zed though  or else trade in the bird  Isn't there another one of our members over here somewhere??
  20. This is exactly why I'm hoping I can pick this up next week, it's a '72 with Edelbrocks, Vortec heads and comp cams. She'll drink though
  21. Here's the reply to my e-mail from the DVLA. Not surprised one bit. U-turning tw@ts. Thank you for your email. In the Budget of 29 November 1995, the previous Government introduced a new taxation class that came into being on the 1 June 1996 called 'Twenty-five Year Exempt'. It was introduced to reflect the important role old vehicle enthusiasts play in maintaining the vibrant part of the Country's history and heritage. This meant that all non-commercial vehicles that reached 25 years of age were exempt from VED on 1 January following the 25th anniversary of their manufacture. The present Government, from 18th March 1998, halted the exemption and replaced it with one applying to vehicles constructed before 1 January 1973, called the 'Historic Vehicle' taxation class. In effect, no vehicle which qualified for exemption under the former 25 year rule lost it but no new vehicles gained exemption. The Chancellor considered that continuing the exemption in its previous form was no longer justified. The number of old vehicles qualifying for exemption had doubled since its introduction by the previous Government and the number of exemptions would have continued to increase annually. This change should be seen in the context of a general freeze on VED in line with the current VED system, which reflects the Government's concern for the environment. The Historic vehicle taxation class is applicable to any vehicle that can be proven to be manufactured/registered prior to the 1st January 1973 , which would also include imported vehicles. In light of this, I can confirm that there are no plans to review the issue of exemption of VED for vehicles manufactured after 1973.
  22. Back in 1997 the goverment made all vehicles over 25 years old tax exempt. ONE year later they did a complete 'U'-Turn and made it so that there was no exemption for any car registered after 1/1/1973. I'm just wondering if this will ever fookin change. It's been 8 years now. FFS are they waiting for all classics to fall apart so they can fook everyone over:xxx:
  23. If you're gonna hang on to your Z for a long time, it's probably best kept original because a)There's less stress on everything if the engine isn't tuned and b)When they become collectable as did the 240/260Z, they're worth more if they haven't had new bits put on the bodywork. Adding 99 spec would probably be OK though.
  24. Took the brats round Cadbury World yesterday, wanted to nick all their chocolate tonight but glad I didn't cause they both had the sh1ts :D :hurl:
  25. Very lucky, if that were in North Wales you wouldn't be driving for 12 months and you'd be £4,000 worse off! Cumbrian Police have always been sound with me.
