  1. Hello Darkside Me and the missus might have to come along and say hello if you don't mind. Only trouble is, the Zed is off the road till it goes up to Zedworld on Feb 7th, so I'll have to come along in my crappy ole Mazda...
  2. Well done mate - will have to give them a call next time mine's due :)
  3. Who with Pete? That's damn good at 23...
  4. ahhh - so he does! I mentally inserted a 'to' in there somewhere. Oh dear - that's just rubbed salt in the wound that I'm paying 580 then... :x: Sorry mate!
  5. How much now?! 400 for an import TT? Who is that with? I'm 30 and still paying 580 with Keith Michaels! Did you get my text the other day btw?
  6. Lol - they sound like a good garage then! Leaving pipes disconnected and parts rattling around in the engine bay?
  7. No pics yet mate as I have't got them mounted yet - just the boost gauge in there loose at the mo. If you want them angled towards you, there are loads of plates available on eBay that do just that (I think I searched for 3 gauge DIN pod or something like that). I didn't fancy one of those though - I think I'm just going to fabricate a plate out of ally! I'm pretty sure there are a few people on here that have them mounted in the DIN slot - I'm sure someone has some pics for you to look at.
  8. How about the other option of using one of your DIN slots? I'm currently fitting boost, water temp and oil pressure gauges to mine in that location - they're looking great so far! I like how clean it looks and you don't need to hack at anything.
  9. Well, each to their own I suppose. Personally, I feel very bad that I haven't gotten round to subscribing yet, initially due to lack of funds and just being too bloody lazy. But I tell you what, I certainly will do. I have never been a member of a community where everyone is so helpful, friendly and willing to give advice and do favours for one another - I often comment on it to my mates. I always bear in mind that no one has to give any info or assistance at all - it's not as if it's a service from some company that we're paying for here. If the 20 quid did nothing more than keep this site from having to close down, it would be worth every penny. I know that I would be screwed without it with the amount of things that go wrong with these cars, along with many others I'm sure. I've certainly been helped a lot and all without giving anything except help to others when my limited knowledge allowed! It would be very easy to set up the site so that you had to pay before you could even ask a question... In addition, I'm in IT and I know how much work goes into building and maintaining a site like this. All this is done by people giving up their time and effort for free. So anyway, that's what I reckon. Now I'm gonna get down off my soap box and go find my cheque book ;)
  10. Great stuff mate - thanks for that! Are they the place that does the 4 wheel laser tracking/camber set up etc? Cos if so, I've been there before! And it'd be great to meet up. I'm about all day tomorrow if you fancy popping over - it'd be nice to meet someone from on here! The only trouble is my Zed is currently illegal as it needs tax. And for the tax it needs an MOT. And for the MOT it needs tyres, hence my original question. So if you fancied meeting up it'd have to be at my place in Sandy, just off the A1 :)
  11. Not been around for a while cos I've been mega busy so hi and a Merry Christmas to you all :) Now - does anyone know anywhere where I can get tyres fitted for a reasonable price around the Bedford area? I had a word at my local garage the other day and he was talking about £17 each... I thought that was a bit high and after reading another post that said to expect about a tenner each, I suppose I was right. Cheers!
  12. Mine was on the 'out' side of the turbos where the pipes change from soft to hard - the clips were so loose you could spin them round! I'd think it'd have to be a major leak for you to not get more than 6psi though...
  13. lol - wrong thread methinks ;)
  14. What's wrong with you? They're the best of all three! Always the ones that go first around here :p
  15.:rofl::rofl: I was looking for a different kind of lubricant to the sort they would use on that site... And no wonder I couldn't find it if its GSF not GFS ;) Thanks guys!
  16. Umm... excuse my ignorance and I'm sure this'll be a "DOH... of course" moment, but who are GFS and what's their URL? Even Google is confused... hehe
  17. Along with $hitty Link and Undelivered Parcel Service, yeah... had bad experiences with all of them. Surely it can't be that difficult to get a box from one place to another?
  18. Not seen the old one, but thought the new one was awesome! If you just take it for what it is i.e. a Jason Statham movie called Death Race and realise that you are going to get a fast action movie with cars, explosions and hot latinas, then you certainly won't be disappointed! Tell you what though, I reckon these women only prisons of the future are the way forward - they all seem to be young and gorgeous, not a rough old boiler in sight!
  19. Knew I could count on you with all things electrical - cheers again mate! I'll have a look and maybe get back to you if I get stuck... hehe
  20. Thanks mate - any ideas on how I tell how it was originally connected up though? The convertor was already in when I got the car so not sure about the stock setup. I suppose this also gives me a good excuse to get my finger out and send you my pods as previously discussed ;)
  21. Hi all, I have had a problem with my power steering for a little while now and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I've posted before about this but have a bit more info this time round... It's not all the while - sometimes I can drive it and it'll be perfect, other times it'll just cut out and stay cut out. Other times it'll sort of drop out and kick back in - very disconcerting on roundabouts! A lot of the time, I'll start the car and have no PS. So, I switch it off, back on and it works fine! Always on the second go. In addition, I have always had a HICAS light on. I thought that this was a dead HICAS control unit ('95, so electronic). However, a couple of times I have noticed the HICAS light go out... then the PS die and it come back on! So now I'm not so sure. I have no problems with my speedo - I did have, now and again, but since re-flowing the joints, all is good. So... speed sensor on gearbox? Speedo convertor (it's an import)? PS Control solenoid on steering rack? Dodgy connector somewhere? I've tried checking a few of the connectors, especially the one for the PS control solenoid (according to the service manual, this seemed likely) but haven't yet checked the connector onto the speed sensor as it was getting dark. Which side of the gearbox is this? I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for... Help would be greatly appreciated :)
  22. Sounds like the carbon canister to me. Have a look here for a removal guide! Carbon Canister
  23. Including dent repair, that's a REALLY good price if the finish is as good as it looks in the pics! I'll be very interested in having a word with them when I get some cash together
  24. It'll do DivX and XviD no problem nowadays. And I agree - stream all your stuff from your PC to the 360. I have an external HD with a load of stuff on it hooked up to my PC, streaming over wireless to my 360 - works great! It's finally made my old Xbox and XBMC redundant ;)
