  1. Mark - Off the subject but that wasn't your Z on Top Gear last night racing Hammond on a Scooter was it?? Your car looks similar!!
  2. It's gotta be someone on here - come on own up who tried to take on a scooter!!! Car looked absolutly sweet though!!
  3. Bloody waste of good beer!!
  4. I've got a 1991 UK 300ZXTT and it will run fine on all OCTAINS of fuel.. You WILL get better performance running Super Unleded 97RON or Even better running Optimax.. Give it a try with both - You'll be supprised how much difference it makes between normal unleded & Optimax!!! Just as a precaution I normall run Super or Optimax as there better for the Engine.. Think of the poor Sods in the U.S that sometime have to run on 91RON Fuel!!!
  5. LMAO!!!!     Quality!! Gary would be proud, bet he don't drive a Z Though!!
  6. I go to plymouth quiet a bit but wasn't me this time dude, would have been sociable and waved back!!
  7. Hi! Yeah he did say someone asked who owned the Z that was me!! His scooby is much slower though, recons it's 280BHP but really think it's 240Ish - its not a true WRX but a copy with the bog standard scooby engine! 300ZX rules everytime, that's why he's jelouse of us!! Thanks for comming in anyway!
  8. Bloody Heavy the standard rear spoiler init mate! Think of the weight saving! Ever the high level one the Z centre does weighs much less!!
  9. A lot of bloody pipe work me thinks and a pain in the arse to boot! The V6 would run SH1TTY
  10. Sorry, Dude missed ya!! Only read this Mail today... Had to work on Saturday anyway - oh well, another time when yer down! :duffer:
  11. Mate, if you want something decent and easy to use & reliable then get a Panasonic!! Also buy it from Comet & not Dixons, Currys or anywhere else as there gonna give you the chepest price around & best advise!! (Except Internet!!) Jvc are good but have fiddly bits that fall off after a while & Sony's are awesome but tend to be overprice just for the name!! (I sell the Fookers and know what gets returned the most!!)
  12. TwinTurbo.net very useful!! Oh, i'm in Redruth so not to far away when you next pay Hayle a visit!! ;)
  13. Hi mate, defo get rid of EGR's AIV etc but don't think it's wise to remove coolant in the intake manifold - Don't forget these engines run bloody hot!
  14. That's lovely Chris!! :p All I know is the software calculates the lot and works it all out to give the figures... Given that UK Zed a roughly 280 - 284 standard what do you recon it should be making with my mods baring in mind although it's running standard boost the tubs are 360degree thrust bearing and run a slightly bigger housing...
  15. Thanks mate, will do. Having said that ever since I've had the engine replaced at the begining of the year it has felt much better and pulled stronger than the original one I had in there!! Ecu has always been the same so maybe this replacement one I got from a breakers has a few extra's like reprofiled cams Maybe?? It came from a 93 Spec ZX but my Z is UK 91 Car..
  16. Just out of intrest what was your Z making in safe mode?
  17. The rolling road is a TATdyno system installed at Richard's Bros in Redruth - They had the German bloke from the company that wrote the software for the system there on the day configuring everything so it would be accurate. As the rolling road is supposed to be one of the best out there. There website is http://www.TATdyno.com Although it was 31 degrees heat - don't forget there is a bloody massive cooling fan in front of the car which cools things down a lot!! The power at the wheels figures came out at 239BHP at 6021RPM, oh yeah just thought of another mod that was done which should make too much of a difference - EGR valves removed!! My car has never been chiped as far as I Know!!
  18. Now that I have a new Det Sensor and the Z is now running Properly again it was time to give it another blast on the rolling road... Originaly in Safety Boost it was making: 274.2 BHP and 243.2 lbft of torque. :headvswal Got it dynoed again on Saturday just gone, it was stinkin hot here in cornwall too. The in car Ambient temp was showing 31 degress @ 2:57 in the afternoon!  The car had 5 runs in total with 1 BHP Difference between all of them. The best run it made: 333.0 BHP and 302.6 lbft of torque!! :hyper: Am well happy with this considdering it was a really hot day and only have basic mods!! My car is a red 1991 UKTT with the only mods being a Blitz air filter, Z centre exhaust system which is DE-CATTED and replacement standard Turbo's with 360 thrust bearings running standard boost and Stock ECU.. This proves two things really, if your det sensor is working correctly then no matter how hot the weather is outside your Z WILL NOT go into Safe mode and also if it does you loose around 60BHP depending on what mods you've got!!! :slap: The dyno run was done in 5TH Gear and Not 4TH so the car would generate max boost under load. Total Results. Max BHP 333.0 @ 6466 RPM (165MPH) Max Torque 302.6 @ 4625 RPM Max Boost 0.71 Bar From 2971 Rpm Will upload the Graphs on here eventually for all to see!!
  19. In Redruth!! PenVenton Hotel Car Park or there is one leading up to the Twilight Zone night club outside the Spice of Life pub, near the old Redruth Brewery... Gonna be working the next few wk-ends unfortunatly..
  20. Sorry mate, didn't read the thread otherwise I would have gone!!! Yeah, July 3rd sounds good if ok wih everyone else and they can make it but don't mind where it's held.. If all else fails, Twilight Zone or PV carpark then in the pub for a quick drink! :duffer: have to be coke if we're all driving!
  21. That's me with the Red one outside Comet dude!!! Yeah, i'm up for a meet somewhere just let me know when ;) , also live in Redruth!!
  22. Count me in, would like to help in any way I can..
  23. I am so so sorry to here such tragic news that's really upsetting.. Thoughts go out to you and the rest of your family always...
  24. Hey Chris!! Glad you've seen the light mate!! 300zx.co.uk = one big party!! :duffer:  :nana2: :hyper:
