  1. Got the same as you Pete, that's why everytime I see your Z I gotta do a double take as mine looks the same as your's exept mines a TT. Good choice fella!!!
  2. Cool Guys!!! That's been really usefull!! I know where i'm going with this now!
  3. Hi guys, hope everyones well - haven't been on here for a while!! :slap: In the next few weeks now the weather's getting warmer i'm gonna be getting the bonnet on my Z resprayed as the red paint has faded quiet alot & I don't really fancy a pink Z for the summer!! Before I do this though I wanna fit some decent bonnet vents or some kinda front duct to aid airflow as the engine runs bloody hot!! The one in the computer generated image on here a while ago looked like a wicked front duct(s) but don't know if it actually exisists!!! I know the Z centre have got there bonnet buldge but don't actually know how effective this is gonna be in getting rid of heat.. Have seen some modded RX-7's :hurl: with a front vent to flow air over the head (Very Ferrari Like). If anyone knows anywhere I can get good venting or put some pictures on here than that would be much appriciated!! Thanks guys! :hyper:
  4. That was with the labour involved too dude!! As the whole head has to come off to get to the little bugger as it's right in the V!! The new wire from the det sensor to the ECU was also uprated using gold multistand wiring the all put in a heatresistant magneticially sheilded cable covering... Prevention is better than cure!! Imagine putting the whole lot back together then still getting CODE 34!! Didn't wanna take any chances!!!!
  5. Bit the bullitt the other day and finaly got the Det Sensor replaced on my Z cause I was PI55ED off with it being in Safe Mode all the time!!! A new det sensor cost £170 from Nissan and new wiring to the ECU + labor etc cost in total £674.93p!!! Car is now running full boost all the time (When it reaches temprature anyway!) Was really hot in Cornwall today too and no more safety boost!! Am well happy now she's back to normal, forgot how much of a difference in performance the car makes between full boost and safe mode.. The old det sensor was cracked and also had mega green corrosion on the terminals, the wiring to the ECU was also old and brittle.. It's a big job to do and expensive but to anyone that's having safemode problems I can say you won't regret having your det sensor replaced and a healthy Z that's always gonna give max boost when you want/need it!! Gonna get it dynoed again soon so will let you all know what BHP / torque difference it makes!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :duffer:
  6. Ok, the Blitz air filter sits on a round metal frame which attaches to your plastic airflow chamber (Sure it's got a proper name!!) looks like a plastic cylinder with the airflow sensor prob running through the middle of it. Your airflow sensor has it's electrical connector connected to the outside of the airflow chamber.. At one end of the airflow chamber should be a fine metal mesh.. (Was on my UK TT) if it's there simply cut it out and smooth the edges to ensure perfect unrestictive airflow!! Make sure you remove any metal pieces that go astray!!
  7. I got one on mine - Awesome mate, and what a bargain price!! Another tip if you haven't done so already - cut out that restrictive fine mesh that's just on the outside of the ZX airflow chamber.. It's not needed now you have the blitz filter..
  8. Yeah, Jet Set Willy - Bring back the flapping toilet seats!!! Manic Miner, Spy Hunter, Ant Attack 3D, Arkanoid, Rocky Horror Show, Horris Goes Skiing!! Ghost & Goblins, Bomb Jack, Out Run - christ we could go on forever!!
  9. Had to AVOID one of the little CUNNNTS in the ZX once comming off a roundabout in the wet.. ZX went very sideways nearly 180, managed to oposite lock the thing and went straight into the curb FUKKING my front & rear suspension.. (Was a double hit!!) front drivers side wheel bent at 45 degrees... £800 repair bill... Only accident I've ever had... I hate FUKKIN badgers.. BARSTARD CUNNNTIN GAY ASS VERMIN MOTHER FUKKERS!!! :x: :x: :x:
  10. All of us are always here for you both mate if you need us.....No worries! ;)

  12. Do what everyone says and get Laser 4 wheel alignment done!! Welcome to the joy's of ZX ownership dude!! Was born in Nantwich, Cheshire but have lived in Cornwall most of me life... Chips & Gravey anyone!! :nono:
  13. Cheers Rich, you beat me to it on explaining that one!!! :D Don't worry Paul, It all good fun mate - it doesn't make you a bad man!!!! ;)
  14. Wan't Prince Naseem again was it???!!
  15. Where's OilMan When you need him???!!!!! :slap: I am not an expert on this at-all but heres me 10p's worth.. Anything like 10-40w 10-50w or 10-60w will work mint... The last number equates to a higher tolerence so like Richard says if your running higher boost etc the engine will get hotter and be under more stress so use something like 10-50w 10-60w.. Also bear in mind that the oil will also be thicker so it will make a slight sacrafice in performance causing component drag.. (Lotus did a test on this years ago to prove this theroy) eg difference on between 10-40w & 10-60w was worth 20BHP on an ESPRIT!! :nana2: 10-40w being the better... As for manufacturer type I find Millers Oils brilliant  , Castrol stuff is like a watered down pint of guinness!! :duffer: If your engine has covered lots of miles 100,000+ than running a semi synthetic oil will prolong it's life even further & the turbos will benifit too but under 100,000 then fully synthetic will be better for performance resons...
  16. Verry cool mate, what's bumper is that??
  17. OK, OK Confession!!!! Came back from the pub late last night had drank rather a lot of pop, so of cause everyone looked good but the Vielside jobbie stood out!!! Beer goggles again!! :duffer: Looking at it now i'm not so sure but I need help in choosing which one would look best on a RED Z!!! Like the look of CJ'S...
  18. Good work mate, Nice to see some real figures!!! ;)
  19. Squeek could be from the ABS unit located at the drivers side front of the car. When the car is stationary after a run try applying pressure to the break pedal and seeing if it makes the high pitched squeek. If it does it could just be a bit of dust in the unit and it may go away. If not, it's on the way out and are bloody expensive to replace!! On the subject of pads, Mintex Carbon Metallic ones are brilliant. Work well from cold too. Avoid EBC green, red and yellow stuff, cause they won't slow you down quick enough!!
  20. Nissan Silvia S12 338BHP 482lbft, Run's 28PSI Boost - 940Kg Kerb Weight Totally Stripped out Turbo Nutter Basterd car.. Now for sale, 3rd gear has a tooth munched on the cog so replacement gear box required!!! Love it but my Z need's a boost upgrade!!
  21. The Z is only geared to do 165MPH as standard, have proved this on the rolling road.. Bouncing off the rev limiter at 7200RPM in 5th gear.In order to get higher speeds you either need to change you're final drive ratio or fit bigger wheels to gear the bugger up!! 23" Should see 200+MPH!! :D :D
  22. This one looks aggressive as FUK!! Gonna get one fitted this summer I think... :hyper:  :hyper: http://www.zcentre.co.uk/gallery/photos/040l.jpg
  23.  I'm enjoying this!!!!
  24. Many congrats to you both dude!! :duffer: Anyway if you do have to get an MPV you'll have to modify her or try shoe horning the Z lump into her!!! :hyper: (THE MPV THAT IS & NOT YOU'RE MISSUS!!) :D
