  1. that is one of the hardest to read posts I've seen in a while! try searching for oil pressure... must have been asked at least a thousand times...
  2. if it's pulling during normal driving it suggests it's an alignment issue - unless a caliper's sticking...
  3. yes - although any pressure difference would be negligible, and quickly equalised!
  4. Surely not the the plastics??
  5. the only thing you can do is PM turb0z - he maintains the site and would be the only person with access to any backups that my exists afaik. That said, I've never administrated vbulletin so don;t know if it's possible or how much of a ballache it will be...!
  6. it's a piece of piss - if you're fairly happy doing other jobs, it's one of the easiest! Why doesn't Jeff like doing them??
  7. Ignorance is no defence... Guess it would mitigate slightly, but at the end of the day it would be your responsibility.
  8. or the police, on a criminal basis, if you're involved in a fatal accident...
  9. Info here: http://www.motuk.co.uk/manual_120.htm Main concern is they're not emarked - and an insurance assesor would easily spot it. As for mot, depends on the beam pattern I guess - good chance they wouldn't notice they were aftermarket lenses unless they were scrutinising them cos the light output was crap!
  10. No reason why not - you'll need a switch (or wire them off your alarm) and might need to run additional cables - never had a UK spec so not sure if the additional wiring's present...
  11. that's 8 ball. I always understood that you could jump but it was a foul if it was a 'flick' upwards... but it's been years since my mis-spent youth!!
  12. Afraid I'm gonna have to leave it... great price, but my bank balance is looking a little too hammered!
  13. How much would you be looking for?
  14. not brilliant pics but: http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=63938&highlight=oil+sender+filter
  15. Patience is a virtue!! Boost - tee off the balance bar Water - either weld a bung in the top water pipe, re-tap the existing sender location (stock gauge will be dead) or use an adaptor to go in flexible water pipe - demon tweeks, ebay etc Oil - either a sandwich plate (ebay ones may leak) or you can use an unused location on the block which is near the filter - it's the LHD location - I used it but mounted the sender remotely using a short piece of braided tubing as it's tight on space. Rich EDIT: I really need to stop doing other things when I;m replying!!
  16. Not sure... but have you got a multimeter?!
  17. here you go: http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/tech/co/co.html
  18. how far out is it... not a fix but you can pull one of the hoses off the balance bar to get through... 2 secs...
  19. prob gonna be the clutch going... any hydraulic failure will make it hard to disengage the clutch rather than reduce it's clamping pressure; be warned - my stock clutch went VERY quickly... i.e. it started slipping in fifth on M6 knutsford and by the time I got it back to chester is was gone! It literally only packed in when I hit the rivets... which isn;t great for the flyweel
  20. Possibly the same - is on some, but she'd need to check the service history of the car... mine's supposedly a filled for life gearbox and there's at least 6 variations on spec and they're not necessarily compatible...
  21. nope... there's a bit of black adhesive stuck to the front :) There's some surface marks on them, but nothing that won't be gently polished out :duffer:
  22. are you sitting down before stu answers....!?!
  23. Don't know the details, but theft is different - Old Zed is entitled to sue the other person directly, regardless of what any insurance company will try and tell you...
  24. There's a guy on zedclub who is an insurance approved valuer, so that would be a good place to start... at the end of the day, you are entitled to be put back in a comparable situation to what you were in before so fight all the way to make sure you are! Are all modifications on your car listed? AA/ RAC legal cover can be pretty good...
