  5. Ok guys who knows whats wrong in the photo`s? will tell the story that goes with it when someone guesses correctly. Jeff TT
  6. Good idea, hey I am sure the name Ztech is available, may make a suitable specialist name for your business. Jeff TT
  7. Mmm... seen this before, as the filter sits facing up at a level equal to the sump oil then it will always stay full, I suppose any oilways above the filter will drain down to the same level but I cannot see it been a real issue. Jeff TT
  8. As well as been able to make alignment adjustments after fitting lowering springs it also allows you to change the pre-load on the anti-roll bar, this way you can increase or reduce the amount of roll control. Jeff TT
  9. Mmm... quite! I would concider it important that any one with a similar propshaft have it checked, the power this particular zed has though may be a contributing factor but still seems a failure waiting to happen. Jeff TT
  10. The joints and the carbon tubing were all intact however the flange has an adapter tube at the gearbox end which fits inside of the carbon tube, easiest way to to explain is a tube inside of a tube, but here is the rub, no key way or locking method only GLUE well epoxy resin, once that broke the flange tube was free to spin inside of the carbon tube, very bizzare method  Jeff
  11. May not be a Z1 unit then, a quick look in Stuarts gallery just says carbon fibre propshaft so until we know otherwise best to assume its from elsewhere. Jeff
  12. Yes well its SMW1 old zed, it took a while to put it all together so could have been bought a while ago but only recently used. Jeff
  13. Yes got pics but left the camera at the workshop doh! I understand it to be a Z1 motorsports one. Jeff
  14. Well, for those interested and I think a lot will be when they read this, the lack of drive was due to the single piece carbon fibre propshaft broke! Jeff TT
  15. Guy fawkes will be well dressed later this year :D Jeff
  16. Goodness knows, seen a couple of turbo`s in the past which have sheared the shaft, can only speculate........ balance, vibration, metal fatigue or all of them. Jeff
  17. Standard one, passenger side was smokiiiiiiiiiiing Jeff
  18. The front indicator bulb holders can suffer from bad connections, try cleaning the holder and bulb contacts. Jeff TT
  19. It is the exhaust turbine from the turbo!!! the shaft had sheared. Jeff TT
  20. Now this was a surprise:shock: poor owner thought he had a loose cat shield or similar, this fell out of the n/s cat when we undone it to check out the turbo. Jeff TT
  21. You have an e-mail Scott. Jeff TT
  22. If its slipping with a new clutch fitted the pedal might need adjusting to suit the new unit, maybe the garage who did the work did not know this, I you ned it I will find the how to link. Jeff TT
  23. Hiya, Sound like a wheel sensor, good thing it is easy to do a built in diagnostic, and easy to swap a sensor. Right the ecu for the ABS is located behind the panel drivers side by the rear seat squab. There is a diagnostic led on the unit which can be seen by pushing the seat squab down so the apature where the seat belt goes in opens up and you can look into the darkness and see it flashing. So right first go for a drive until the ABS light comes on, when you can pull over or return home, do NOT switch off the engine, take a look at the location I mentioned, be patient as the light flashes slowly, stops for a moment and then repeats the error code, just count the number of flashes and post it up and can tell you which sensor it is. Cheers Jeff TT
  24. I changed the hosting on website some time ago and did not realise that not all of the e-mails auto re-assigned, use zedworld@btconnect.co.uk to be sure as it is not a re-direct, will pick it up in the morning or pm and can deal with it now. Cheers Jeff TT
  25. No worries Vince easy mistake, Chris (zautos) has no connection to my thread despite the same first name. Chris (zautos) was down at our workshop earlier this year collecting some used parts and we had a good long chat:) Hi Athene, Fully agree the other thread is for discussion not any kind of flame war, nice one :).
