  1. Hey Darkside, Do you know what they are? I think they are class, especially when you look at the way they fill the wheel arches.
  2. Hope it works this time. Cheers C
  3. I spent awhile searching myself and couldn't find the names of them or the offset.
  4. I saved the image that you posted a while back of the Z32 lines and if I remember it was also one of your favourites What are those wheels and what offset would they have to look so perfect in the wheel arch? It just looks perfect. Thanks, C
  5. Jeez J1mmytt - how did you manage to survive that ? That was absolutely managled.
  6. Sorry to hear that awful news
  7. Just wanted to say that I don't like the appearance of the skylines and cannot understand why people drool over them. Yes the handle well and yes they have excellent performance, but God I think they look ugly compared to the Zed. Am I alone paddling my own canoe on this one?
  8. That was to be expected with the interest rate cut which I think was more severe than the .5% forecasted when I wrote that. As a guide, interest rates are a fiscal method of controlling inflation. It's relationship to the currency value is that when the base interest rates are rising(in a stable environment) the country is doing well. As a result of the higher interest rate, investors convert their dominations to that currency to get stability and better interest rates. When rates are cut, they seek better returns and as we have seen over the last 6 - 12 months it has been into the Euro. Interesting thing which was a major pointer for the dollar's fate which I read in early summer, was that for the first in history that the Federal Reserve went to market with their government bonds, they couldn'd find a willing investor! If anybody wants an interesting slideshow on how the world changes over time and how dynasties / major traded world currencies change over time, and indeed everything changes and advances click on this : or One of my favourite thought provoking links that isn't of a Zed
  9. The only one time I saw them make a profit was on the old Bentley, but hats off to Ed for his good work and even that fool Mike for getting some parts, they did some job on it.
  10. Mercedes 2003 E220 CDi Absolute heap of crap - broke my heart with injectors going, balljoints, cats front and rear, used to go into safety mode, sometimes stall, speedo stopped working correctly and the list goes on and on and on ... (all within 18months of me getting it - was 4 years old when I got it) Never would I have a Merc again. Awful car and awful costly Would not sell it around where i'm from so found a victim in Dublin.
  11. Had that problem with mine and it was the toplinks that were knackered. I replaced mine with OEM toplinks that I got from MJ Auto in the traders section, but as a few have said already you can replace with the adjustable camber links and I think Dan at DTA (also in the traders section here) sells them
  12. Looks excellent Not making a spare one by any chance...? :)
  13. thank heavens for that
  14. 36 - I'm the oldest so far
  15. I like this example of a shortie, but I'd have the SMIC's rather than the FMIC I love the lines of it
  16. No, not yet anyhow... so its fair game for anybody here, but I get excited at the thoughts of it. If I could collect the money owed to me by a crowd I did consultancy for, I'd have it. ****ers owe me a right sum and blaming the economy for not being able to pay. ****ers ****ers ****ers.
  17. I got this mad idea about buying the Nissan President that Paul@SWZparts spotted on Petrolheads, and contacted the owner, via e-mail. I tell you one thing, it looks damn fresh from the pics and will be put through the MOT. 150,000kms on the clock. To think I put €4000 into the 530D by just replacing the knackered engine a couple of months, £1195 is not bad at all. As a few have said the engine it worth more.
  18. Guys, I really like the stock one. I think it fits perfectly in relation to dials etc and colour matches the dash.
  19. I just measured mine as 367mm (give or take a mm)
  20. Link now saved into my favourites - thanks topless C
  21. Just was posted by JeffTT on a thread and I didn't know how to link it
  22. Back in 1991 there was a magazine called Supercars and in that mazagine the 300zx was reviewed. It looked beautiful and nicer than the hot cars of the time such as the Lotus Esprit Turbo SE, Ferrari Testarossa all of which were reviewed in various issues. Didn't see one in the flesh until a good many years later and was not disappointed. Fell in love with the proportionality of the SWB and even to this day it still looks absolutely fantastic. When ever I drive it young kids come up looking at it. Just show what a timeless beauty the Zed really is.
  23. Before you head off around the country, have a look at the cars in the for sale section on here. Enthusiastic owners who loved their cars and have them in fantastic shape. SMW1, crotchrocket and others have really nice looking motors for sale. You'll pay a lot more than e-bay prices, but you will buy a genuine car from genuine owners who have spent a fortune getting them to their current state. Much, much cheaper in the long run. Just my opinion.
