Firefox or Internet Explorer
Guys, Is it my imagination or is Firefox a quicker application than Internet Explorer? I had been having problems with explorer, where pages sometimes would stop responding, so I started using Firefox today and I am well impressed so far. Appears to be quicker. C

The litigious, compensation culture we live in...
Make sure your insurance company fights it, and from what you are saying it looks like they will. Sometimes insurance companies can settle without the insured knowledge or approval if the claim amount it small.

I agree with Viniboy in his description of God, which is our collective higher conscience. Religions in my opinion are good for humanity and society in that they have given and guided moral and ethical standings in what originally was a lawless and barbaric society. Horrendous crimes unfortunately have been carried out in the name of misguided and misinterpretated religious beliefs through the centuries. The essense of all religions however to my belief is that of compassion and love for one another. The administration of religion unfortunately has been a different story where control of the people were the prime drivers. The Catholic Church which I was born into, and to be honest I do accept most of its teaching, held a horrendous control over the congregation. In times gone by, it ruled through fear and ignored Christian doctrine when dealing with people who had according to its teaching "sinned". Thankfully that outrageous grip has been released through the rebellion of its followers to uncover some of the vile acts of the priests to the most innocent and weakest members of our community, our children. I'm sure that all faiths have been also blighted with so many bad apples. God to me is inside everyone of us. Its our energy, our spiritual calling if you like. Break down our body and our make up to its most basic entity and it is accepted that we are energy fields as is the earth and the universe. Relate the scientific law of thermodynamics which says that energy can neither be created or destroyed have no beginning nor end, we are coming back to some of the many definitions of what God has been described as. Therefore after our human bodies die and decay our spiritual being is freed and our energy (if our current understanding of energy is correct) is released into the universe to take another form. I do not however subscribe to the theory of reincarnation myself, but everyone to itself. I think it was KIM how said earlier that the God question is one argument that can never be decisively won or lost. Me I believe everyman to himself.

Adding lightness WRC style
The WRC was in my neck of the woods all weekend, so even though I'm a lazy sod and it was absolutely freezing, I ventured out to the main pit areas and rally hq. I saw Sebastien Loeb there and some of the other drivers after the rally finished. Some of these guys are not much bigger than flat jockeys and the taller ones are as lean as could possibly be. Talking about keep rally cars light.... these boys most certainly don't add much extra weight.

Zeitgeist - Part 1 - Religion
If that comment was directed at me, I'd like to clearly state that my mind is open to all suggestions and I formulate my mind based on facts that are presented. I posted the link up really about the "is there a God debate" more so than to start a Sept 11th debate. But to be honest until very recently I did not know that a 3rd building collapsed. Based on probability and building design and fire regulations (which at least exist in Ireland) I find it very difficult to comprehend how a building of such magnitude could implode and collapse like a controlled explosion from a fire which started within the building from materials which I expect would have been fire rated. Now as regards the war in Iraq and the subsequent oil, why not have a funny look at the two John's factually based presentation : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ptzml1qQvZE :)

Zeitgeist - Part 1 - Religion
Ok guys, following on from the Saturday night debate, which I didn't have any time to contribute to, except say that I believe in God (not specific Religions), have a look at this video. Some may believe and some may reject but definitely worth a look! Its 2 hours long and after the first 10 minutes it gets good (I mean gets frightening) but please watch from the start. The first few minutes are audio. Covers 3 main subjects : 1. Religion 2. September 11 (did you know a 3rd building collapsed that no plane hit????) 3. Central Banks, Federal Reserve etc... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1817848131611744924&ei=IMR1SbvlLorojgKp5vC7BQ&q=Zeitgeist+the+movie+with+subtitles Comments after you look at it please, because it is definitely thought provoking. Of course some will say conspiracy theories, but it will be interesting to get feedback.. Colm

Sharp buzzing sound when the lights are on
Has anybody heard a sharp buzzing sound when the lights are on. Turn the lights off and the sound goes. Very strange. I tried to pinpoint where exactly it was coming from, but failed. I believe its coming from the front left hand side of the engine (as you would look at it from the front) near the PTU location. Thats a guess though. Any ideas?

diesel v petrol
Over here Diesel is cheaper than petrol (Government hiked the duty on petrol in November by 9cent) and the price of fuel efficient diesels has dropped dramatically due to the government changing the Vehicle Registration Tax and Motor Tax laws. Don't be surprised if your Government follows suit in the short term

How much does it cost to sell on ebay ?
Thats now done, but after reading the advert there is no way that anybody would have thought that it was a standard car. Everytime I see the car and the spec, I really drool. Only small cosmetic changes I'd make if it was mine. If I had seen it when I was looking for my SWB, I would have had a go at wrangling a deal with you. Best of luck with the sale though. Yours is definitely a car that deserves to make a good price. Colm

Funky Si - wheel question for you
Missed that point earlier. No Foose was actually speaking about handling and response of the car rather than looks.

Funky Si - wheel question for you
Not cheap are they... Are those lightweight also and do you mind me asking what sort of price are they? Love that pic Follow on question - If you fit 19"s, do you have to adjust the camber on the wheels or does it only effect the true reading of the speedo? Chip Foose on Overhaulin once said "that it is widely known that the bigger the wheels the better" I have to say that I haven't read anywhere that backs up his statement
