Fuel
My car averages around 220 miles between fill-ups. I drive 9 miles eah way to work, first half on dual carriageways (but engine cold for most of that) then the next 4.5 miles urban. On the way home, I sometimes press the go pedal a bit more, as the car is warm by the time I reach the dual carriageway!! :slap: On a run up to Yorkshire last Sept I got over 300. I was doing over 90 on the M1, then a thrash across a few interesting B roads.... Richard ;)

Steering.
Unlikely, unless your wheel alignment is very slowly moving out of true...... Do you have the correct boss, ie with the HICAS sensors, for your after market 'wheel? If not the HICAS will not function properly, so the rear wheels may not be in the correct position owing to no signal being received. Also I believe the 'wheel must be set 'straight' again to ensure the HICAS receives the correct signal. Richard :smw:

Black exhausts
Sounds like it's running too rich........ The tips on my (stock) system were black when I got the car and after cleaning, got dirty quickly again. However since I changed the PTU and temp sensor, the tips of the pipes now stay clean. Richard :)

Whisleing sound from engine
Hi Matt Is it actually coming from the engine or could you be hearing it through your speakers? I get a whistle which is quiet or loud depending on throttle position, but it goes when I turn the stereo off! It's been suggested here that I have a bad earth connection somewhere in the hi-fi wiring, but I still haven't fixed it yet  Richard :)

Jap TwinTubbie Power Band?
Hi Matt I just read the road test comparison in AutoCar mag (Supra tt v ZX, 3000GT, Pork 968, BMW M3, RX7 - all stock UK cars) I know the RX7 is smaller/lighter, but the UK version only has 230ish BHP. They had the ZX ahead of RX7 over the 1/4 mile (IIRC, only the poopra was quicker). If imports have a lot more BHP I guess the RX7 may have the edge? Richard :)

Bad taste jokes.....
Why does it take so long to get served in chinese restaurants in Morcambe? Because you have to wait for the staff to wash up..... Morcambe council decided to improve their sea flood defences in anticipation of forthcoming bad weather. Inspectors had noticed several chinks in the sea wall and floodgates.......

Wednesday joke...about monks...
A new monk arrives at the monastery and is assigned to help the other monks in copying texts by hand. He notices, however, that they are copying from copies, not the original manuscripts. So he goes to the head monk and points out that if there was an error in the first copy, that error would be continued in all subsequent copies. The head monk says "we have been copying from the copies for centuries, but you make a good point my son." So, he goes down into the cellar with one of the copies to check it against the original. Hours go by and nobody sees him. One of the monks goes to look for him. Hearing sobbing coming from the back of the cellar, he finds the old monk leaning over one of the original books, crying Asked what's wrong, the old monk replies in a choked voice, "the word is celebrate"

Jap TwinTubbie Power Band?
Hi Matt A stock ZXtt should be quicker to 100mph than a stock RX7 (new shape TT), but only just ;) (Autocar had the ZX only about half a second ahead over the 1/4 mile). However the ZX, being more of a GT than an outright sports car, is set-up for more comfort so you may not always feel how quick it really is. Richard :smw:

what oil!

Braided brake lines

UK spec?
In general, all UK cars had leather. But there are a few without it, JAY300ZX has one! I suppose if the person who bought it new didn't like leather (there are some) then he/she may have specified cloth. Richard :)
