What he said. The Supra is a good car - just fekking ugly. The fact is, a stock Supra is the best looking of all - any attempt to modify it just emphasizes its ugliness IMO. Plus they only look "good" (for a Soop, that is) in silver, gun-metal or black. Possibly white, but all other colours also show the car as ugly. Richard
  2. Ha ha, not quite though - that new one replaces the S-type not the XJ  Richard :)

Heh heh.......... ......1990 Supra style!!??
  4. Don't bother with Extreme Force, Mark. Any bulbs with a thick blue coating will be shite in a ZX - remember the projector beam lens is opaque. You really want a very good quality clear bulb so that no light output is lost shining through any coating. Osram Super or Philips +30% H3s will give a noticably better light output. They may not look brighter side by side but on the road they are proven to give a longer/wider beam so you can actually see where you are driving! Richard :D
  5. Exactly what Duff-Man says. He knows his stuff...... Most Nissan main dealers would have stopped working with the 300zx around 10 years ago. Therefore as most of their grease monkeys are only 12 years old they would never even have seen a 300zx :D There are still the odd good one left though - Dan Perkins in Slough still has a 300zx mechanic in the workshop; they've always been pretty well recommended. I still don't let them service the car though as I don't see the point in paying their labour charges for a 14 year old car..... Richard :smw:
  6. I'm with Slick Pete 100% on this..... ........these are for the track only IMO and I wouldn't even THINK about using them on the road. Richard
  7. There would not be any issues as you would alter the tyre profile (255/35/18) so that the running circumference/wheel diameter remain the same as the stock wheels. Richard :)
  8. Not until Monday 8th for me....... .........although I will have to pop in for an hour or so on the 4th to meet a new salesman we have starting. Richard
  9. I agree there Si - the stock ZX is such a great design that any more than a little enhancement spoils the classic lines of the car. The Stillen kit does that exactly right  Richard :)
  10. From memory I have a 22 inch wiper on the drivers side (NOT a spoiler blade as the arm has a large spoiler type thing already attached) and an 18 (or 19?) inch on the passenger side. The reason yours are overlapping is because you need a smaller one on the passenger side. Richard :)
  11. Same as me...... ......although I clicked on on of the last ones correctly but it came up "wrong" :wack: So I claim an 18 :)
  12. I know - but I can honestly say that in almost 20 years of driving I can probably count only half a dozen times that I've driven in conditions where visibility has been impaired to the point when rear fogs have been necessary. And only one of those was not on a motorway. My point was that the majority of people put them on in any foggy conditions, just because "It's foggy" even though you can still see 100m in front of you. Richard :)
  13. Don't blame you - it's sad to see a ZX like that :( Hope it gets fixed up good as new soon mate! Richard :)
  14. It does surprise me when I see high standards of driving in the UK. I'd personally say British drivers are generally arrogant, ignorant and belligerant. Not to mention the most impatient....... :xxx: No-one seems to know how far 100m is - the level of visibility one should use rear fog lights. Oh no - we have these fekking little red lights that hardly get used and then......most idiots switch them on when there is a little fog. FFS if you can see the car in front, when he doesn't have his rear fogs on then why do you need yours!!! Oh and on a motorway, signalling to change lane doen not mean you can just pull out to overtake - you have to give way to the car coming up behind you already in that lane.............And when you've overtaken, why not pull back to the left so the car that you forced to brake can continue on their way! And you all know this one - you're on a dual carriageway driving your ZX at say 80mph+ passing a long line of cars travelling at 60mph. Why oh why is it that just when you are about to pass the people carrier, the w@nker pulls out in front of you and proceeds to overtake the rest of the slow drivers.....at 65mph  Use your fekking mirrors - if there was nothing behind me why not wait until I've passed. And it's always a fekking people carrier - Just because your spouse or your ecological beliefs prevent you from having a sports car, get over it! Having driven in Italy and France I can honestly say the standards of motorway driving there significantly exceed ours. I have not had the pleasure in Germany yet, but having seen German drivers over here I suspect they are courteous and respect others who may want to drive a little faster than themselves. Richard :smw:
  15. Yey!! Stop dissing the ZX - it is reliable really!!! I've never had a major issue with mine and I still trust it more than my other 2 (much newer) cars. We need more threads like this one  Richard :)
  16. What he said.........
  17. And it's just as well Ipswich Town play football and not rugby....... .......they're running out of hookers there  Richard :smw:
  18. As above......... I saw your car parked near Christopher Pallett this afternoon around 1.30-ish. Then you drove along the old High Street about 1/2 hour later. Not seen you around before....... .......(best "Tubs & Edward" style) Are you local? Richard
  19. I think the problem is finding a nice example of a UK spec; there are not many left now  Imports will generally have less rust, but once they are here they will rust at the same rate as UK cars (OK so UK cars would have been subjected to UK winters for a few more years, though......) Imports have all done "56k miles" when they hit our shores, too  If you can buy a clean, low mileage, well looked after UK spec car with good history then that will always be the best bet IMO. However as ther are so rare you have more chance of finding a better import. I too HATE the J-spec rear number plate........ Richard
  20. I've been in one and thought it was shite too.... ......they obviously spent all their money paying Sean Bean to voice their adverts; so now they cannot afford decent produce to fill their mangey shelves  Sainsburys all the way for me - even if Jamie Oliver promotes them. Tesco/Asda are just cheap and downmarket. Waitrose have no better products than Sainsburys but charge you more for the privilege.... ....however I am partial to Marks & Spencer as well. Richard
  21. I never have either - and never will  Richard
