do i like it or not?
I'd buy that one. Always liked the XJ-S, especially the later ones. Finding one that is not rotten is a pretty mean feat now, though..... Richard :D

another zed bites the dust...
I would have run the fekkers over......... :x:

another zed bites the dust...
My sentiments too...... :( Losing a fine Z like that is pretty bad but at least you are not hurt. Hopefully the insurers will let you repair that one as in pre-accident state your car would easily fetch a premium. I did see a UK spec manual on an H plate with a genuine 29k miles on Auto Trader last week for £6995 so who knows? Good luck mate. Richard

nutty drivers
Same here - it's not worth the risk for some pimply little twat who will probably kill himself when his car hits a tree or something........ Richard :smw:

Just been Charged on 3 Accounts.
Now that's where our justice really sucks  You took a chance with the appeal and lost, so if all was good and fair the original penalty should stand (maybe a few quid extra for "court fees"). But to actually increase your punishment is wrong IMO  I hope you get your problems sorted with minimum fuss and stress mate - you don't need that. Good luck, Richard

Average income of a 300zx owner?
Bloody cheek! I'm only 4 years older than you mate........... ;) Richard :smw:

AVON ZZ1 Tyres WOOOAAHHH!!!
Avons are RUBBISH don't put them on a ZX......ever! Richard

370z ?
Me too............that's why I have one :D I love that AMG in your pic but I'm quite happy with the 230 kompressor. It's quick enough and still returns 30mpg. Plus that roof is just quality  I do love the new shape one though - a nice black 350 with cream leather and the "neck-scarf" heating. I'd settle for a 280 though...... Richard :smw:

Richard Madeley or John Prescot?
Once again Si and I are in agreement...... :x: Plus I think some of the offensive comments Madeley comes out with are great :D Richard :smw:

370z ?
I like the sound of the metal folding roof as well - Nissan should have added that to the current convertible IMO. Makes the car a worthy SLK rival then....... Richard

single or twin?
As above!! Richard :D

Cherished Reg Choice...
IMO go for the Irish "KAZ" plate - it doesn't matter that the numbers following the letters do not mean anything. K88SSA means nothing and IMO does not look like a personalized plate; in this format, only those with one number look personalized and only then with the earliest prefix letters (say A-H, but specifically A, B, D). The best one is obviously K4 REN but that is probably ££££££s! All the others look like cheap "wanna-be" private plates. Richard :smw:

are you a psychopath?
Fook me I am a psychopath....... ........I instantly thought the woman hoped to see the man at her sister's funeral....... :x: Excellent!!! :D Richard :wack:

Is it worht changing the Cam belt??
I agree here...... .....as the front end is being removed anyway, the actual price of the belt is tiny so you may as well have it done. Also, make sure your mechanic replaces the 2 small hoses at the front of the engine - they WILL go within a couple of months os having the watr pump replaced and you'll have all the hassle of getting the front end of the engine removed again! Richard

your next car...
I shall be keeping my ZX (although I would replace it with another, but a manual next time)........ ...........however after my SLK was brought home from Cornwall on an RAC truck last Sunday, followed by a £900 repair bill :( , that may be replaced in the near future. I'm thinking new shape SLK 280 or a 350z. I'm tempted by a DB7 - 1998 cars are going for £27k - or a Maseratti 3200gt. But I think buying an older car for £20-27k is a big risk. Merc or 350z will be much newer and more relible as a daily drive. Richard :smw:

New Zed !! (Sometimes stalling today)
Most UKs have leather but I do believe it may have been an option however most buyers seemed to go for it. Then again cloth may have been a no cost option........ The UK spec tweed is darker and much nicer than j-spec tweed though..... Richard :smw:

turns to start
What he said - almost instantly and with no extra noise or rattles  Richard :D

testarossa
Yes that one.......... :D Sooo many variants I don't know which one is which - I just know it's a 308 GT something......... :o
-
Oh, Bugger!!!
Yup 50mph (80km/h) max.......although I did hit 90mph with it on the rear of my Z once before I remembered it was there :nelson: I can't see why you couldn't use it on an m-way though; what happens if you get a flat tyre between exits - you would be stuck? The legal minimum speed on a motor way is 30mph (except in a traffic jam of course....) so provided you can exceed 30 a space saver tyre must be legal to use. Richard :smw:

testarossa
What he said - Magnum's Ferarri 308 gtb is now in "Cars of the Stars" museum, Keswick (along with several Bond motors, the A-team van and an original KITT) Tubbs & Crocket drove a Testarossa in Miami Vice.... Richard :D

Just been offered a freebie.....
The broker from whom I purchase my company's vehicles has arranged a trip to the McLaren F1 works next month and invited me along.... :hyper: Richard

Just been told something i never new!
That used to be written on the lables of "OK sauce" years ago....... .........they cited the popular assumption that a then (c19th) US president was semi illiterate and thought that was how "all correct" was spelt. Also there was a story linking "OK" to the Navaho Indian Tribe's word "Hoke" meaning "It is so." Richard

cant believe it, hit and run
I don't normally agree with dodgy claims either..... .....but in this case I'd claim for absolutely everything you can think of - the b@stard deserves it for driving off. I hope the police prosecute him for leaving the scene of an accident without leaving his details too. Richard

bugs
Likewise........ ........I polish all of my cars every 3 months with Turtle Wax Extreme and the silicone formula stops the dead bugs sticking to the paintwork. They easily wash of during regular cleaning :D Richard
