Sheffield Cooling Towers
I agree........ .....however they are a bit of a landmark, as when I pass them on a drive to Yorkshire, I know that I'm finally in the North ;) I'm heading up on the 6th, as it happens, but it just won't be the same now:p Richard:cool:

2 oil filters?
Thing is I'm not surprised........:o There are so many car dealers selling them who know bugger all about the 300zx. I remember looking at one for sale that was advertised as a twin turbo but when I got there, it was clearly an NA. The dealer spent the next 10 minutes telling me I was talking rubbish ".....because they were all twin turbos, mate.......!" Even when I lifted the bonnet and showed him the inlet pipes going straight to the plenums; and asked him to show me where the turbos were, he still wouldn't have it:nelson: Richard:D

my pleasures in life
So true:D The roads now are filled with masses of trendy small MPVs and Priuses driven by nerdy men whose heads would just explode if they dared to venture above 45mph on clear national speed limit A & B Roads:tongue: I love owning a 300zx and the looks of scorn on their pale vegetarian faces as I overtake; they couldn't be any more disapproving:rofl: Richard:smw:

bit of a dilemma
Exactly - after all, both new jobs are better paid than your current one so you will not be financially worse off. Don't just do it for the money - being happy is more important and remember, you have to work for a big chunk of your life! How do you define true success? If you do a job you like, get paid well and are truly happy with your lot, then you have been successful. On the other hand, you could have a job that pays the earth but it's stressful and you hate it. Serious money is no real consolation if you get home tired/miserable/stressed. Despite appearing successful in the eyes of others, material success is not necessarily the route to attaining your true happiness/fulfillment. Good luck with your new job, whichever one you choose. northumberland
I went up there about 5/6 years ago or so - it's very nice area to visit and I'd gladly go back........ I remember Craster was nice - especially the walk along the sea to Dunstanburgh (sp?) Castle. Bamburgh was also pleasant; as were Blanchland, Alnmouth, Alnwick etc. Aydon Castle, Prudhoe Castle and Belsay Hall are also worth visiting. (I think our English Heritage membership easily paid for itself in that week alone!!!:p) We also visited a number of forts along Hadrian's Wall - and the road along the wall is just great in a 300zx:bow: The Beamish open air museum is really good, but I found Durham town disappointing and the multi-storey car park I used there was very tight and not at all Z-friendly!! You also have to go across to Lindisfarne - the causeway is a great place for a car photo (I think Macca has one of his Z leaving the Island somewhere;)) We stayed here - I seem to remember it was pleasant enough.......then, anyway http://www.battlesteads.com HTH Richard:cool:

Just saved a £££ on business insurance
That still sounds expensive - especially as you are 34:eek: I'm only 4 years older and currently pay Admiral about £350 p/a on my daily driver - a 2006 Merc SLK350; with max/protected NCB. Do you live in a higher crime rated area or have convictions? Then again maybe insurance costs have just rocketed up significantly in the last few weeks.......b@stards:headvswal Richard:(

weight of a standard zed
What he said...........:D IIRC Autocar quoted the UK spec manual at 1585kg so Legrath is spot on!! Richard:)

WHO has been down to cornwall on holiday this year
Julia and I stayed in Boscastle the first week in June this year - when it actually was summer:D We stay there 2 or 3 times a year as we visit friends in Camelford. I expect we will move down at some point in the future........... And Kim, you're right about Newquay - it's a dump and I steer well clear of the place:tongue: Richard:)

Tt, n/a 0-60
No offence to NA owners but in a 0-90mph dash they won't be close!! 0-30 probably close but once the turbos hit full boost, the TT will pull away. Hence the 0-60 of the TT being around 1 to 1.5 seconds quicker. The rolling "in gear" acceleration of a TT is also far superior owing to the higher, and well matched, BHP and torque figures. Oil Leak, Temperature and Boost
That could just be the throttle position sensor on the 'box..... .......or a knackered 'box. Mine did this in 1st and 3rd - it transpired my auto box was dead and in need of a full rebuild.:( Richard
