  1. LOL - he'll be thinking about painting his ZX like this next...... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1494129&postcount=1 Richard:tt2::tt2::devil2:
  2. Sorry guys, pink cars are bad news no matter what they are....... .....and no matey - all the women will think you're gay and will only want to be friends with you. Nothing more...... Richard:shuriken:
  3. Another good suggestion! Richard:thumbup1:
  4. Exactly as my learned fellow members have said! Any cone or mushroom type induction kit should give improved performance over the stock airbox set up - however not all aftermarket filters give decent filteration!! The best by far is the Apex-i; but the K&N is not bad either - although it's expensive compared to the Apex-i. Richard:thumbup1:
  5. Hi mate, if it's still pulling to one side, it would suggest to me that the allignment was not done properly the first time. I'd take it back and ask them to re-check it; it's not easy to get the whole set up right on the first attempt and most honourable places will happily do it again for you within a reasonable time. Richard:thumbup1:
  6. Personally I'd just clean the calipers.... ....failing that I'd paint them black. I've never been mad on bright painted calipers - just my opinion though mate.....!! Richard:thumbup1:
  7. Hi Dave, Welcome to the club mate; and best of luck in your search! Richard:sorcerer:
  8. I'm sorry to hear that too mate; RIP Likewise Dave; for or not, looking out of the window and seeing a road sign or two should have told the Audi driver it was a dual carriageway FFS:thumbdown: Richard
  9. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  10. Exactly mate! Back in the 1980s a mate of mine had an old Morris Minor that looked completely stock, apart from the red gloss paint and Wolfrace alloys. That thing had a Rover 3.5 V8 under the bonnet and wasted all the "usual suspects" of the day like XR3is, RS Turbos, GTis etc:clown: Superb!! Richard:rockon:
  11. I reckon they would too mate! They are (IMO) a classic, ageless design that seems to really compliment a Z32. A bit like the Moderna Ferrari replicas. Easy to clean as well........ Richard:thumbup1:
  12. Hideous!! But had the owner kept it subtle and stock looking, in an understated colour, he could have had a reasonable street sleeper:scared: But he's just gone too far with that pig-snout body kit. Shame. Richard:confused1:
  13. Odd isn't it? I still like those Azevs - Mac1 has them in 18s on his car and they really look the business! I also reckon the colour of the car can make a difference to wheel design - ie some styles look better on certain colour cars than others! Richard:cool2:
  14. LOL - cheers Baz! And yes on the middle name - but only to my closest friends.... To everyone else it's "Richard the b*****d f*****g a**e c***t Smith" Richard:ohmy::sweatdrop:
  15. 18 inch alloys are probably the best in terms of both looks and ride comfort - I'm not a big fan of 19s myself...... .......But don't write off 17s either - the right set can still look good; and you'll find tyre prices a bit more reasonable. Especially if your ZX is a daily driver. I had 17 inch Azev A wheels on my old red ZX; and the staggered width/deep rear dish made them look bigger than they were. I now have 18s on the blue one - which I think look more in proportion with the car. Make up your own mind mate..... Richard:chef:
  16. LOL - Julia never believes that I may be tired after a long day at work. But then she thinks I just sit around all day eating doughnuts and shouting at people!! Not true - I haven't had a dougnut for at least a month!! Great to see you're still around though Nikki - I hope married life is as good for you as it is me. Still.... Richard:cool2:
  17. That looks dead good Dave - a functional stsyem but you still have your boot space! I know - boot space...... But I need room for luggage as I like to take my ZX on hols and Julia always packs too much!! Richard:chef:
  18. Have to agree there mate! Way easier to just drop the 'box:wacko: Richard:cool2:
  19. Very nice figures..... ......without doubt the Germans, particularly BMW, are making some awesome diesel engines at the mo. Not only are they fast and fairly efficient, but because of their low emissions, the road tax is dirt cheap as well!! Richard:thumbup1:
  20. Many happy returns mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  21. Nice - if I was forced to have a saloon car then I reckon that'd be my choice as well. I do like the latest M5 but I still think I'd prefer the E-class AMG!! Richard:devil2:
  22. What he said mate..... ......so if you've only done 29k miles and it's been less than 5 years, wait until you have virtually hit either milestone!! Richard:chef:
  23. Mercs do seem to need a lot of oil to fill their sumps..... ......the SLK350 needs 8 litres - virtually twice the ZX - no wonder oil changes cost a fortune!! As for the 16 'plugs - I assume it's a V8 with twin spark....? Richard:cool2:
  24. I have heard something like a bit of back pressure is better for an N/A but not a turbo..... .......so a massive exhaust on a non-turbo car will actually inhibit performance; whereas on a turbo the bigger and more free flowing, the better.... Richard:sweatdrop:
  25. 10 litres? Does he need to bathe in it...?? I'd give Opie Oils a call Daz! Richard:tt2:
