  1. I would not touch the big chains for wheel allignment on a 300zx mate. As said, find a local independent specialist as the grease monkeys at quack-fart et al have no idea about any car that is not run-of-the-mill. Hell, National Tyres could not get the wheel allignment right on Julia's Rav-4 after 4 attempts. All I got was the excuse that "it is really hard to get the steering wheel straight on a 4x4....." I took it to an independent outlet that has a proper 4 wheel allignment bay and 30 minutes later it was done right. 1st time! 2. LOL - and cup-holders are for people carriers mate. Not real cars......:tt2: Richard:devil2:
  3. Nice one Graham - I look forward to seeing your car finished mate!! Richard:cool2:
  4. LOL - I'm gonna have to delete that mate; I'm a married man. LOL....:tt2:
  5. .....Women that is???? I think I've asked this on here before, but am I the only person who thinks that women have a habit of ruining the nice clean look inside our cars:hammer: I know I'm a little pedantic (well overly obsessive TBH:whistling:) about the cleanliness of my cars' interiors; but why is it that I can drive the car every day for a week and not make a mess inside. But yesterday Julia is in the passenger seat for all of 1.5 hours and the carpet looks like a group of ramblers has trampled through the car....:mad2: It's the same when I go to lunch with my friend at work - she's in the car for 10 minutes tops and it's footprint city...... I think I might have to put newspaper down for them; LOL:taz: Richard:tank:
  6. That looks superb Allan - I'd say the effort was worth it to see the results!! And some top tips from Peach as well....:sorcerer: Richard:cool3:
  7. Happy birthday Dave - have a great day!! Richard:happybday:
  8. Cool - nice one Rob! Good luck mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Yeah - it is pretty good stuff for light dust or rain spots between washes. Although I wouldn't use it to clean off heavier dirt and crap as I reckon you'd end up scraitching the paint by rubbing the muck around on it. Richard:chef:
  10. Looking very good there Allan!! Not only does it get expensive, it also gets addictive mate! And then the OCD really sets in - I carry a micro-fibre cloth and detailing spray in the boot of the cars just in case of bird droppings, or to clean the dead insects off the front bumper..... Richard:sweatdrop:
  11. Welcome back Craig - it's good to see you on the road to recovery mate! Richard:cool3:
  12. Welcome to the club my friend! Richard:cool3:
  13. Nice one mate - welcome back!! Richard:cool2:
  14. And it also shows the calibre of our membership; in that we are all (well mostly all) intelligent enough to accept each other's differences and above all, not take offence about the odd comment made in jest! Richard:cool3: PS And BTW I only dress that way........:tt2:
  15. Bloody hell Jane; a Christian AND a leftie.......... You'll get on just fine among us lot then....... Richard:laugh:
  16. You found yourself a nice ZX there so you really want to hang on to it if you can. I hope it works out for you in your new job mate!! Richard:cool3:
  17. Many happy returns mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  18. Happy birthday mate! Richard:thumbup:
  19. Exactly!! As long as the world remains "free" it's all fine with me too........:sweatdrop:
  20. I'd agree with Gio there..... Richard
  21. I'd say for sure it does! A crap cheapo brand of tyre can be lethal even at perfectly legal road speeds. And different brands of tyre can give varying performance on different makes of car (eg Continentals seem to do well on German cars; whereas Yokos or Falkens work well on Japanese cars, but not so well on others!). And that's before you take weather conditions into account - even near gentle acceleration in the wet in a 300zx TT could be risky on cheap tyres. Anyone who advocates racing Honda Civic Type-Rs on the A14 should be able to tell you that.......:innocent: Richard:dots:
  22. Great advice as always Jeff! Thanks..... Richard:thumbup1:
  23. Fantastic pics there - thanks for posting those Al..... .......how great would it be to be able to see that for yourself!! Richard:thumbup1:
  24. Welcome to the club Tank - and congrats on your new purchase!! And whilst it is always a matter of personal choice, I'm in agreement about the front bumper too mate.......:whistling: Richard:cool3:
  25. If they are good Gary - remember it's always your choice where you send your car for repair and not the insurer! They often try to steer you to their recommended reparier; or in the case of third party claims, to the cheapest. But the law says it's your car and therefore your choice. Stick to your guns mate!
