  1. Happy birthday mate! Richard:clap:
  2. DB7 is nice - but it's actually a Jag straight-6 (3.2 litre i think) with a supercharger bolted on. The V12 came out in the later years of DB7 production (for the "Vantage" models) and it's an Aston unit.... But spending £17k on a 16 year old car - with Aston's "shakey" reliability. No thanks! Dave, stick to your original plan mate - either sell up and buy a much newer car; or keep the ZX and buy yourself a new-ish, fast and reliable daily driver. (I'd do the latter - well, I did actually.......:innocent:) And as for the XKR not being made with a manual; of course they weren't! Jaguar knows they'd never sell one as it wouldn't suit their customer base..... ....They don't care about the young fella who might buy one ten years down the line when they have depreciated to buggery. They know their new car market and sell to it accordingly - and then they'll be thinking of the "nearly new" dealership sales in the first couple of years. And again, their customers would not buy it in manual.... Good luck in whatever you decide though - and my thought for the day...... ......don't ask what car you should buy on a car forum. Out of 1000 people you'll get 1000 different answers and none of them will be right for you...... Richard:arabia:
  3. Nice car Danny! I do like those - and they are great value for money too as you get the MB mechanicals without the MB price tag. One of the drivers at my local taxi firm has one for his work..... Richard:thumbup:
  4. Welcome to the club mate! Richard:thumbup:
  5. Welcome mate! Richard:thumbup:
  6. Welcome to the club Mike! Whilst we are really a Z32 owners club, we also welcome Z31 owners too. Good luck with your purchase - do post some pics for us mate...... .....and I see you're just a few miles away from me too!! Richard:thumbup:
  7. Voddy was last online Friday 23rd. It's not like him to be absent from the forum for more than 5 minutes - so maybe after all his work organizing JAE, he's decided to take a bit of a break to spend some time with his children. Whilst he is a moderator, he is also human and we all need a little R&R from time to time......:flowers: I'm sure he'll be back, large as life, very soon. If not I'll be hounding him..... Richard:thumbup1:
  8. Happy birthday mate! Richard:happybday:
  9. LOL; maybe Rich - but I'm just as obsessive about both of my cars. And Julia's too TBH.....:winkiss: Richard:whistling:
  10. Hi Jane, I'm pleased your ordeal is finally over - good luck with the Omega and I wish you all the best on your nursing course. Congratulations!!! Richard:yes:
  11. To answer the first question - NO! My cars are my hobbies, but besides my obsession with keeping them clean, they do not require any additional attention from me....:tt2: Although if you spoke to Julia she might suggest that I care more for my babies (sorry, cars) that I do for her. But that's just down to my apparent OCD.....:winkiss: Richard:whistling:
  12. ....Yup - you still are Jane! have you recently renewed your sub? If so, the forum software will default to "subscribed member" (it even does the same for mods and committee) when you do the PayPal thing. I'll look get it fixed for you.......:cool3: Yup - exactly what Groover said. With Graham taking a place on the committe, we cannot expect him to continue full moderator duties whilst dealing with trading matters too. Hence the need to appoint another moderator to fill the void.... I trust all is clear but please, feel free to PM me if you have any questions! Richard:cool3:
  13. Please join me in welcoming a new Super Moderator as the latest addition to our forum team: 300zx_666 (Ian) Ian has been an active subscribed member of our club for a while now, and I know he'll make great a Super Moderator and will continue to be a valuable asset to the club. Welcome Ian and thanks for your support! Richard On Behalf of the Club Committee
  14. Happy birthday Rob!! Richard:clap:
  15. Many happy returns mate! Richard:happybday:
  16. A belated happy birthday mate! Richard:happybday:
  17. As said - it's most likely the sender unit. You'd know if it was actually low oil pressure as you'd hear the engine knocking at low revs.... ...all 300zx sender units will go bad at some stage; the classic symptoms are normal oil pressure readings until the engine is warm - then suddenly little or nothing. And still the gauge can intermittently work, then not work.... Richard:cool3:

  22. I would like to inform the membership that owing to personal and work committments, Znut (Brian Jones) has stood down from the position of the club's TLO. The Committee has given its full backing for Groover (Graham Jones) to take on this role within the club. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brian for all he has done in this department (he will be missed) and congratulate Graham on his new position. Welcome Graham - on behalf of The Committee, I'm sure you will do a great job! Richard Club Secretary For The committee
  23. Welcome to the club Luca! Richard:cool3:
  24. Congratulations Jason - 3 in a row!! Richard:cool2:
  25. Hi Craig, I can "half" help you mate.... ....I have one spare 265/35/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 asymetric with about 4mm-ish sitting in my garage. Just the one though.... Richard:chef:
