80 quid dash modification :-)
That's pretty impressive mate - the most I have squeezed from a tank was just about 300 miles..... .....on a run from Cumbria to home. I was driving a "little" bit quicker than 60mph though.......:innocent: Richard:chef:

I've joined the ranks....
Great stuff Dave - and full marks to Zedworld. Again!! And that is definitely the best way to appreciate the drive home!!!! Richard:thumbup:

What colour? Your opinions please
So true..... ......and might I also suggest taking a look at Gio's immaculate 99-spec 300zx? His is a darker silver not dissimilar to the Merc colour - and that looks just superb in the flesh!! Richard:chef:

I have heard that on more than one occasion too mate! Richard:oops:

What colour? Your opinions please
Nowt wrong with the Merc Palladium silver mate...... .....It looks great in the sun, yet still not so dull in less clement weather!! Plus, unlike black, it won't show dirt or swirl marks etc...... In fact I'll be chosing that colour again next time......... Richard:wink:

Touch up paint
I have to agree - surprisingly! I needed a Marine Blue (TK3) touch-up paint and gave the chap in Halfords the colour code.... ....and to my delight they mixed up a small brush-pot thing for me and the colour match is spot on! Richard:chef:

Any one know whats happened to Ztech
Sadly I believe Ztech went the way of many wannabe ZX specialists.... .....and to answer your question b19rks, I don't know for certain (as it was long before my time on the bench); but we stopped endorsing garages a fair few years ago now. And if I remember correctly, this club ceased to approve Z-tech whilst Ryan still owned the place... .....But perhaps one of my longer service colleagues will confirm for sure. In the meantime, please remember to be careful what is said on a public internet forum about a specific Z-related business....... Richard:cool3:

Dad's new Summer Toy
Hi Rob, That's a pretty tidy looking machine - I like that mate!! I wish you dad all the best with it... Richard:cool2:

RWD Diesels
Stick with the Germans - BMW or Mercedes. And that is all..... .....Personally I have no desire for a diesel; but back in 2008 when my last SLK was being repaired following an accident, I was given a brand new E320CDI for about 2 months to use and abuse..... .....And I have to say it was a superb car! Other than that I echo the 330/530 suggestions thus far!! Richard:rockon:

Me too - you're going to use the fuel anyway so why not fill it to the brim each time? It just saves you re-fuelling more often!! I've not quite managed to get over the £100 mark with the ZX yet - but I have seen £107 a few times in the SLK. Although that gets me almost 400 miles compared to around 290 in the ZX....:whistling: Richard:wink:

Geometry set up costs??
LOL - yes Dave but you live in North Wales mate. Everything is so expensive down here in Buckinghamshire....... Sounds about right to me Paul - I had the SLK done at my local dealership after clattering over the broken, pot-holed roads last winter. Naturally they wouldn't do this under warranty so it cost me £198 all in (with some adjustments needed) including the VAT. Still on the up side, I did get a new AMG wheel under warranty; as some of the laquer had started to peel on one of the fronts!! Richard:thumbup1:

I like these
They may be copies but they do look a nice set of wheels Gary!! I'd go for a set myself but I don't fancy anything more than 18s. Hell, my last set of tyres were expensive enough, without shelling out for 19s....... .......and whilst I know there are bargains to be had, I do have a habit of sticking to the known premium brands..... But they would definitely look superb on your red shorty mate!!
