Thinking of selling
Really - painful Alex? How so? I actually find that the ZX is superb as a GT cruiser - it's what the car was built for. Even though mine is relegated to a weekend/holiday toy, I still prefer to use it for longer journeys despite having 2 new cars.....!! Eeek - that sounds expensive mate! I have a new-ish Merc SLK 350 AMG sport and I pay about £485 to insure it - with Julia on the policy too. I thought that was expensive TBH; as I only paid £350 last year!!! And the ZX is on a classic policy at £280 (although I was too impatient to wait for Footman James to call me back and I could have got it for £258); again with Julia on the policy also!!! Sounds like you deserve that Allan!! Me? Well we have just got in from the pub - I could not be asked to cook so we wandered down to The Polecat for dinner. And drinks.... A pint or two of Marsden's Pedigree, a plate of venison and fresh veg, a nice bottle of red wine. Sweet... ....and now I'm chilling out browsing the forum!! Enjoy your evening matey!! Richard:cool3:

Smoking in Cars?
Good question - and to be honest I cannot personally say whether it has had much of a long term effect down here in the Home Counties. Sure there would have been the initial downturn just after the law changed, but that was 4 years ago now and from what I've seen here, the people have long since returned. It's just that smokers go outside to smoke now - and many pubs have built verandas or patios for smokers. Most pubs/restaurants that I go to are no less busy now, than before the ban kicked in. If some have gotten quieter, it's much more recently, therefore due to the recession rather than the smoking ban (as smoking was banned in July 2007). Or, of course, the advent of cheaper booze in supermarkets which also encourages people to drink at home.......... Just my opinion of course and based on mine and my friends' thoughts/social activities following the ban. The effects you speak of could also be more regional..... But (personally) I am certainly much happier going out to the pub and not having to scrabble for a seat in a tiny non-smoking area - or coming home feeling wheezy and smelling of cigarettes. Hence I probably go to the pub a lot more now.......! But I do not want to declare war on the forum's smokers, it's up to us all how we live in a free country, so I'll leave it there! Richard:wink:
