I have a friend who is a car broker; in fact I buy all my fleet cars via him. Some years back, he used to work for Mercedes as a sales director and he still has his old contacts. So each year, he gets a couple of invites to the McLaren factory (I believe McLaren still issue invitations to some folks with Merc and Vodafone connections); which he uses to entertain his regular customers. Hi Rose, I don't think the series 1 and 2 are any different...... ....my first ZX was a UK spec series 1 (1991 car) and when I fitted the after market stereo, I just used an off the shelf Autoleads adaptor to convert from "Nissan" to "ISO" connectors. Then I bought a series 2 (1994) UK spec and just used the same adaptor to fit the same stereo. I have since upgraded to a Kenwood DAB/Bluetooth unit and, I still was able to use the same adaptor. The only mod I had to make (for both cars) was to link the "live" aerial feed to also power the stock rear amp (as found in UK spec cars) so that the rear speakers worked. Then in view of your super-custom boot build, I doubt you'll be using that bit......!! Richard:cool2:

Yup - it was an excellent programme!! I have been fortunate enough to have been on one of their factory tours - it's an awesome place; cleaner than most hosiptals I'd wager!! And we fionished the tour with a 3 course dinner in Ron Dennis's private dining room. It was a fantastic day - and they gave us a glass mounted pic of me and the rest of the tour group posing with Lewis Halimton's F1 car. Richard:rockon:
