  1. Sorry to hear that Daz mate..... .....can you not get the AA or RAC to take the car to Zedworld for you? Failing that, could you still make it to JAE in your other Z...? I hope you get it sorted though Daz, Richard:sad:
  2. That's even better to know mate. I could kind of see that in your manner that afternoon but I wasn't sure what to say!! Richard:thumbup1:
  3. I agree mate; I have this on my blue ZX and it's always done the job with no issues. I don't have the total closure though..... .....but on my old red ZX I had an Avital Maxx 3 - made by Clifford but without the usual Clifford complexities, yet still a cat 1 system with full window closure. I thought that was pretty good!! Richard:thumbup1:
  4. After seeing your car last Thursday mate, I'd say the FMIC...... ......if only so you can actually get your indicator lights to fit in the bumper without chopping them up!!! Richard:biggrin:
  5. Many happy returns matey - I Hope you have a great day!! Richard:thumbup1:
  6. LOvely Bri - I'm glad you and Mrs Znut had a great time matey!! Richard:thumbup1:
  7. You're right mate - H3 in the dipped beam..... ....H1 is for main beam; and it's pointless replacing the mains with HIDs Richard:thumbup1:
  8. Hi Dave, with those wheel sizes I would recommend 235/45/17 on the fronts (the 7.5 wide) and 255/40/17 on the rear... If you wanted to save money on the tyres then you could go as narrow as stock with 225/45/17 and 245/40/17; but the wider tyres will still fit and would be my preferred choice!! Richard:thumbup1:
  9. Welcome to the club John!! Richard:thumbup1:
  10. Hi Bigman, The thing is, there are not always sufficient moderators online to deal with such matters as soon as they arise; and one moderator might do something dsifferently to another! They would then discuss their actions in their private forum in order to agree on the right course of action to take. In this case StellaZ closed the thread (quite correctly) as it was going off topic and likely to cause offence. The moderators then discussed it once a few more were online; and they agreed (as do I) to remove the entire thread from the public view. Please be advised that any negative posts as referred to were the personal opinions of the individuals concerned; and not the opinions of the club so please accept my apologies both from me personally (as I feel a comment from me might have been taken out of context and contributed to the thread sliding off topic); and from the club if any offence or bad feeling was caused. I hope that, as a new member, you do not feel unwelcome on our forums. Gary has indicated that you may decide to start another similar thread later - if so please rest assured that we will monitor it accordingly to ensure that it does not degenerate like the last one. I am closing this thread now as I believe this should be the last word on the subject. Kind regards, Richard
  11. Big_jim ~ issued with permanent ban from the club and loss of all benefits. We have discovered that Big_Jim (aka James Sheils) in in fact Extrem Imports; a former member previously banned for ripping off other members in "questionable" trading activites. Consequently we cannot permit Big_Jim to continue hiding behind his alias so his account has been closed. Richard For the committee
  12. Very well said Gary; and so true mate! Richard:thumbup1:
  13. Hi Gary, Bigman, Jeff and everyone else with concerns regarding this thread. The moderators have begun a discussion on the subject - which some of the committee have also had input on as well. This topic has generated some strong opinions and some negative comments (I am personally mindful of this, since I fear that something I wrote may have contributed to the thread sliding off topic. And for that, if I have caused upset or offence; then please accept my apologies as I in no way intended for that to happen). Consequently we are considering the appropriate actions and will hopefully come to a conclusion shortly. Thanks for bringing the matter to our attention though, Richard
  14. Your both right actually...... ......whilst points stay on your licence for 4 years before you can apply to have them removed, they do not count for "totting up" purposes (ie for the 12 you are allowed to accumulate before getting a ban) once they reach 3 years old. Drink driving convictions (quite rightly) remain on your licence for 10 years though!! Hope that helps, Richard:thumbup1:
  15. Could be mate - but I'd stick with the Nissan OEM parts for cambelt etc.... .....also it doesn't mention the right engine code for the Z32 - the VG30E and VG30ET were (I believe) from the Z31 - ours is VG30DE and VG30DETT Richard:thumbup1:
  16. Many happy returns Steve - have a great day mate!! Richard:happybday:
  17. Wow - that's looking good Daz.... .....I can't wait to see the finished article mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  18. Very true as well Mikey..... ....I get mostly texts about PPI claimback - but the other day one of the lowlife actually telephoned me. He started the sales pitch by saying according to their records, I may have been mis-sold PPI on my loan. What records, I said...?? And what loan...?? He just went on with his scripted rubbish - and then I stopped him and told him that he is very much mistaked as I have never had a loan and thus never actually needed PPI. But the truth is, these saddos are just trying to do their job. The real lowlife scum are the b@stards with whom you have legitimately dealt in the past, who have decided to sell their databases (which include yours and my telephone numbers) on to all and sundry... ....There needs to be a change in the law about this disgusting practice; as it's getting worse by the day. Richard:mad2:
  19. Nice work Zedworld - as usual...!! Richard:thumbup1:
  20. Same here mate..... ......but yesterday I actually got to answer the phone to these scumbags. I got an Indian sounding lady asking me to participate in a survey into how the recession was affecting me. So I said, since times have got harder I find that I am plagued with every arsehole in the world - and his dog - telephoning me to ask me a stupid question!!!! I then told her in no uncertain words to take me off their list and never call me again. We'll see if that does anything; probably not, but this crap is really getting on my nerves now!!! And the TPS is probably of no use against international callers as they are outside of UK jurisdiction....:asshole: Richard:huh:
  21. That's great news mate - and I'm pleased to hear the lifter noise has gone too!! I guess that means it was nothing serious - if it was, it would still be tapping away no doubt.... Like you told me in the week, it has not been used much - and you're going to give it a damn good service anyway.... See you Saturday then! Richard:thumbup1:
  22. Cool, see you in a week's time then Ian!!! Richard:flowers:
  23. Manny happy returns mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  24. Happy birthday mate! Richard:thumbup1:
