  1. LOL - I believe the new forum software is programed to do that; just to stop post whorring....... ......it makes the mods' lives easier so they don't have to merge your posts....:tt2:
  2. Nooo - don't do it Jane!! You need a sound reliable car for placements remember!! The RX8 will cost you dear in the first week....... .......if you still fancy a convertible or sports car or something exciting from Japan, try and find a sound MX5 Mk1 instead...!! You still have your Mitsi for family journeys..... Richard:pinch:
  3. Very true Brian - just like a 300zx........ .....but yes; any high end car that reaches 10 years old plus still comes with high end running costs, even if the purchase price is peanuts now. I could concur there. Julia bought one brand new back in 1996 - a 1.0 Hollywood in girly blue - and it only sipped petrol. Plus (and to this day no-one believes me but my best mate will corroborate it) he and I were at the NEC visiting the classic car show back in 1998 when his wife's father was rushed to hospital having suffered a heart attack. So we left (in the Micra) in a hurry and covered the journey to my house in an hour!!! He told his mrs how we got back so quickly and she was not surprised; assuming we were in my (then) Supra. Then he dropped the bomb-shell that we did it in a 1.0 Micra and she just laughed in disbelief. Julia believed me though - but I still got a b0ll0king for thrashing her car!!! Richard:innocent:
  4. Yes you do, you filthy post whore...... .....but we would not have you any other way Mark!! Congrats on your 6k - now here's to your next 4 to make the big 10-0.......!! Richard:tt2:
  5. I agree mate....... Richard:helpsmilie:
  6. That's the option I would go for...... .......good luck with whatever you decide mate; as Voddy says, if your car is sound and only owes you £550, then you have nothing to lose by going down the engine swap route! Richard:cool3:
  7. Nice pics Frazer - and thanks for your support mate!! Richard:cool3:
  8. LOL - now you're definitely taking the piss Roo.......:tt2:
  9. Don't know Dave - I was just hoping I hadn't missed something good....
  10. LOL - I'd say that's even easier...... You can say what you like as he'll never ask you again!!
  11. Hi Mick, I have not dealt with them myself - but I have done a search on the compay at Companies House for you. I'm afraid I cannot post my comments on an open forum (read into that what you will) but I'll drop you an e-mail to the address in your profile...... Richard
  12. And there was me thinking you were giving us the heads up about scantily clad girls wrestling in some kind of jelly-like substance.....:innocent:
  13. Noooooo - not again Jane!!! You have, let's say, a jaded history with reasonably priced second hand cars......:tt2: Good luck in what ever you decide on though; I believe that Golfs are normally solid, reliable cars. So (please) just be careful not to buy the only one that isn't.....!! Richard:oops:
  14. Oooh about time - I was wondering when (if, even) it would be back!! Thanks for posting that mate - have some rep!! Richard:chef:

  18. Sorry to see that Andy - and until I'd read Gaz's link, I'd have had no idea why/how that could happen if your car has not been painted recently....! Richard:helpsmilie:
  19. LOL - about time by the sound of it mate!! Richard:tt2:
  20. Welcome to the club James!! Richard:sorcerer:
