  1. Nice one Dave.... .....And good work again Noel!!! Richard:thumbup1:
  2. Agreed - they direct the air in the optimum direction for more efficient cooling....:thumbup1:
  3. Yup - that's the type of thing that I have... .....They are a nice clear white, with just a little hint of blue to match the HIDs. I popped a set in my SLK too... Richard:thumbup1:
  4. Happy birthday mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  5. Good to hear you're still around mate!! And even better to hear that you have regained some motivation to get your car back together - even if you still intend to sell it.... Hope all's well with you and we'll have to organise another Red Lyon meet soon, as it would be good to catch up. Richard:thumbup1:
  6. I do like the ones on the red car in the bottom picture - they're a bit like the RX8 wheels, only nicer....:thumbup1: The ones Ian (Mr 666) fitted to his car really suited it too....
  7. No no no no no..... The solution is easy!!! Go out and buy yourselves a portable air conditioning unit. I did that about 3-4 years ago (cost me about £180 in Currys) and when it gets hot, into the bedroom it goes, door shut, 2 hours before bedtime. So later in the evening, when the time comes, hey presto - it's icy cool.... Richard:laugh:
  8. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:happybday:
  9. I had a Cotton Green filter on my old red ZX and was pretty implressed with that TBH.....
  10. Nice one Mark - busy is good mate; although never easy!! Richard:thumbup1:
  11. Nasty!! I visit Cornwall twice a year myself - and each time I see the same pink BMW E39 5-series whenever I drive near Tintagel..... Why??? Richard:hurl:
  12. Eeeeeh - scary stuff!! Richard:scared:
  13. Ditto Steve; K&N kit is, for smoe reason, very expensive for a 300zx..... Which is why the A'Pexi is so popular as it comes in at around £100, Richard:thumbup1:
  14. Gotta love Fleabay Baz.... Richard:laugh:
  15. Jamie left ZW in December, around the time he and his wife had another baby, and returned to his primary profession..... as a fully qualified chef!! So let's not forget Jamie; and wish him all the best for the future as well...!! Richard:thumbup1:
  16. Feel free to put up your for sale ad Paul - you're certainly showing as subscribed... Let me check your profile for you - give it half an hour then log out and log back in once more mate.... Richard:thumbup1:
  17. Yes... interesting!!! I fitted an A'pexi a while back following the recommendations here (and sold my old ebay cotton gauze jobbie to Vods); but I have to say I initially thought the car actually ran better on the plain old cotton gauze cone!! And when I collected my car from the garage last Friday following the oil leak, as the mechanic was showing me how he'd fixed the oil cooler hose, he pointed out what a shite state the 'filter was in. Hell, it had only been on the car about 18 months (maybe 8000 miles) and it looked like crap!!! I'll have it off for a clean this weekend, but (having used them many times before) I have to say that you cannot go wrong with K&N. Richard:ninja:
  18. LOL - that was fast too mate!! You're instantly active Paul - so as said on your other thread, thanks for your support!! Richard:thumbup1:
  19. Nice work Paul - and you're instantly activated mate!! Thanks for your support and enjoy the club!!! Richard:thumbup1:
  20. Nice one Allan - and just goes to show that you can't trust the b@stards to get things right on your behalf.... It was definitely worth you persevering with it mate; else they'd have fobbed you off for a few £££s....:shifty: Richard:thumbup1:
  21. Good question Noel - all I can say, is that when you have more than one forum hat, you can still only have one default colour!! So it depends upon which one you would like to be your primary function...... Richard:wink:
  22. Many happy returns mate!! Richard:thumbup1:
  23. Hi Paul, All done mate - you should be active as a registered user now and eligible to re-sub. Any problems please let jaikai know - he's our IT guru and knows far more than I on how to fix these things!! Welcome back to the club by the way:wink: Richard:thumbup1:
  24. Welcome to the club mate - and that's a fine looking ZX you have bought!! Richard:thumbup1:
  25. Yup - oil pressure indeed...... ....And whilst wchestnutt would normally be correct in what he says; there is another possible explanation if the pressure drops to zero when driving!! The sender unit on these cars is notoriously fickle and prone to failure - so once the engine is warm and the pressure drops, stop and listen to the engine. If it still sounds OK, then it's your sender unit that has packed up. Of course, if the engine sounds like a bag of spanners, then yes, your oil pressure has dropped to critical levels so switch off right away!! The OEM sender unit is the thick end of £100 sadly, so many people don't bother to replace it. JeffTT took one apart once to see why they fail - apparently the electric contacts on the section which measures normal hot oil pressure wear, as the sensor is constantly rubbing in that area; so when cold, the gauge works but once warmed up, it does not always register a reading. Mike at MJP has also said this was a common Nissan problem; as that sensor is used on one or two other cars also. Richard:yinyang:
